유니버시티 인(University Inn Chico)

No amendities, no customer service. Bathroom is outdated and well used. There was no alarm clock, extra blankets were not allowed when asked for them. It was a cold night. Woke up to gargage truck pick up at 5:30am from motel parking lot dumpster.

It is super close to restaurants and stores in town. The facility is so clean and tidy. They also have wonderful security which ensures the safety of its guests.

Owners are extremely nice.. HOWEVER - I stayed for 3 night's.. but night one i walked to my room and a guy ran away from my door. I came up to my door and looked on the ground.. and there were blood splatters everywhere on the ground. AC unit doesnt count by the degrees.. idk how to explain that.. and to top it off.. no maid service.. and if you want new towels.. you have to turn them in yourself. Just one of the worst hotel experiences of my life tbh.. and i feel it is a duty to leave this review. Idk how i would feel if a mom and her kid came here to stay the night ir something. I was with me and another guy.. and it was not safe or satisfying. I literally took my possessions of value with me.. i didnt even leave them in the room. Its rhats bad. HOPE THEY TURN IT AROUND

Location is great. Walking distance to downtown and surroundings.

The rooms are in the process of renovation. My room had new flooring. Overall the room is no frills and definitely not a boutique hotel. but it is located in downtown Chico and is very cost effective.

I like everything about this motel. Compared to some of these other places in the area, this one is rising to the top

First night there, room hadn't been cleaned. Staff was not available to correct and I had no choice but to sleep in a used bed after a long flight

Price was doubled from what the web sight said Office was locked so no coffee in morning and no way to complain

First of all, the staff at the University Inn are lovely - the guys checking me in and checking me out were very friendly and helpful, and I left something in my room after checkout and the cleaning lady was great in getting me back in there. Unfortunately, the inn itself is run down, the rooms are in bad shape and the homeless around the property are tough to ignore.
