What used to be a fantastic and beautiful amazing hotel situated in the most picturesque and jaw dropping location and super attentive and devine caring and quick yo attend staff , has turned into a total con job now with little or no attention or respect for high paying clients who pay a lot for this so called 5 star privilege but in reality is a 3star plus maybe with village people with low mentality attitude running this establishment now .. maybe since IHG have taken over they care more about how much they can squeeze from your pocket as apposed to the service they should and used to provide , when it was solely IBEROSTAR .. Now ! Where do I begin 🙈🙄... OK arrive, as usual the concierge staff and guys to move your luggage are lovely people 👌.. room we were accomadated was perfect , just as we booked online , next we requested a matrimony bed which us put the 2 queen's together plus a single for our 6yr old daughter .. the singe was there , but finally after 5 hours and 4 phone calls to reception some people arrived to fix our bed .. 5 star ?? Next by the pool at our sunbeds was no service for a water a beer or anything , no one to be seen or attentive , I asked life guard , he said and of course its not his job , but said I must go to the bar myself , while my 6yr old was in pool by herself ??? OK my wife came and watched our child while I went to the bar/cafe at other end of other pool .. I remarked why no service ? I been here before was allways service by the Sunbeds , was told sorry we are too busy !!! I looked around and was maybe 15 people by the pool/cafe bar 🙈.. then OK after walking to bar twice they staff kindly obliged me a free drink which was nice of them 👌.. Later I came back with my 6yr old for a pizza for her as we we booked the so called Michelin star Cataria restaurant for Saturday evening but knew the food would not suit our little one.. OK ordering the pizza at pool bar/cafe was fine .. then when I asked for same wine I had allready (only 2 glasses) this about rabid speaking elderly Spanish waitress , caused a huge fuss and argument with me about the wine and cameras , and none of which I could understand 🙄... as she ranted on in rough Spanish language ... all I wanted was the same wine I had before that I had to walk twice to bar for 🤷♂️... in the end one kind barman Silva , saw that this was ridiculous and thankfully resolved the ridiculous situation by simply giving me a glass of what I asked for , while everyone else in the bar had to listen to this totally stupid rant from this woman waitress employed by whoever owns the hotel now !! OK that was that then , went back to the room to take shower and prepare for what we were hoping was going to be an amazing gastronomical experience in the hotel's signature 5 star Michelin restaurant CATARIA .... 🤣... Well that also turned out to be a disaster , ran by children who never thought to offer us even a water or wine ,
