Hotel I Somaschi

It is a very nice and classy building attached to a beautiful church. We were there for a wedding and everything was perfect. It has a nice room for receptions and outside is lovely. There is an open parking place which is really convenient if one goes by car. The rooms are nice with a quite modern bathroom and a lovely decoration. The people from the front desk were super friendly. The breakfast was ok( it could have been better, but fine) For sure we will be back to visit the beautiful wine area and enjoy a second time a lovely stay.

Great location in a lovely town filled with fantastic restaurants. The exterior of the building and the grounds are impressive and well maintained. Inside one can literally feel history in the walls, although it is humid and a bit moldy. The room was large and clean, so was the bathroom. A minus is the carpet on the floor which I do not enjoy in a hotel room. Air conditioner was extremely noisy and did not work, making our room uncomfortably hot and humid. The pool area was lovely although there are a lot of bugs in the gardens. The big minus was the breakfast. the staff were very friendly, however they did not seem to be trained in proper food preparation. Tomatoes had not been washed, there was dirt on them. Cheeses and meats were not kept chilled, the eggs must have been boiled many days ago, when we ordered scrambled eggs and omelette they seemed to have been cooked in a pan that everything sticks to and burns. I was afraid to eat anything but toast with jelly. Due to the bad experience with breakfast we did not try the on-site restaurant for dinner. Snacks and drinks by the pool were fine.

This is the quietest, most peaceful and most noiseless hotel I have ever spent a weekend at. Beautifully surrounded, with a nice swimming pool, a magnificent hall for breakfast and really spacious rooms with a view that stretches out forever. All the staff is professional and helpful always trying to make you feel at home. A big thanks to Cristina and Roberto who take such good care of breakfast that you'd like to stay with them for a long time. Do not miss the chance to stay at the Somaschi. You won't regret it.

Original an old monastery that has turned into a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. The hotel is located in the charming small town Cherasco, where not many tourists come. There are very good restaurants and Barolo and Albs is nearby. Breakfast is typically Italian (a bit boring) but if you are used to travel in Italy that is often the standard. A small pool is situated at the back of the hotel. Could recommend that the hotel make a small lounge area in the yard, where you can sit and read and have an afternoon tea og wine. We were missing that.

The hotel is simple but comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The town has old world charm. A beautiful village. Great food and great wine. Makes for an idyllic stay. Go visit.

L’hotel, all’interno dell’antico Monastero di Cherasco del XVII secolo, si trova in collina e domina la valle. E’ stato sapientemente restaurato nel 2009: di grande effetto scenico è la facciata, preceduta da un curato giardino all’italiana con due grandi vasche rotonde. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nella Junior Suite, camera Stucchi 404, al piano terra, che ci ha pienamente soddisfatto: spaziosa, silenziosa, pulita ed arredata con cura. La colazione ci ha un po’ delusi, non all’altezza della location, da migliorare come qualità e quantità. Alla reception la signora Jessica molto gentile e disponibile.

Albergo 4 stelle così così, peccato, perché la location e la posizione sono davvero invidiabili. Camera deluxe e bagno spaziosi, ma arredamento nella media. Sala della colazione, nonostante si trovi in un elegante salone in cui facevano teatro, un po’ trascurata. Servizi non da 4 stelle. Piscina ancora da riempire nonostante ormai sia primavera inoltrata (non fosse altro che x figura). Giardini curati. Non credo torneremo…

Bellissimo ex convento arredato con gusto e stile moderno. Abbiamo soggiornato nella junior suite e ne usciamo soddisfatti e rilassati. La colazione, pur essendo varia, scivola su piccoli particolari, per esempio la freschezza della frutta, i biscotti del mulino bianco (affiancati, però, a torte fatte in casa), la finestra aperta quando ci sono 15 gradi all'esterno. La scelta proteica è varia e con prodotti locali ma avremmo apprezzato qualche modo in più di preparazione delle uova. Volendo fare i pignoli anche i set di cortesia sono un po' risicati (negli hotel a 4 stelle si trovano, spesso, shampoo e balsamo). Piccole imperfezioni cancellate dalla cortesia estrema del personale, a partire dalla carinissima receptionist che ha prodotto una lista di ristoranti e attività da fare e si è fatta in quattro per accontentare i nostri desideri, al direttore, che ci ha trovato una soluzione per farci lavorare in smart working, al personale di sala, attentissimo, pronto e veloce per il servizio di caffetteria. Completa il tutto l'ottimo gusto con cui sono arredate le camere. Grazie e continuate così!

L'hôtel occupe un lieu élégant, chargé d'histoire, dans la pittoresque ville de Cherasco. Il s'agit d'un monastère des Pères somasques en activité jusqu'au tournant de ce siècle. L'endroit est très beau, apaisant et très bien entretenu. Il dispose d'une piscine et d'un parking extrêmement pratique. Les chambres ont une très belle vue, soit sur la cour d'entrée, soit sur le paysage et les villages des alentours. Le personnel se montre prévenant et se met en quatre pour répondre à vos besoins (nous avons rencontré un petit problème qui a été résolu très rapidement). Les chambres sont très propres et disposent d'une excellente literie (nous avons apprécié le calme de la numéro 102). Petit-déjeuner excellent et varié servi avec un souriant dynamisme. Ajoutons que le restaurant "Il Teatro" rattaché à l'hôtel est ouvert en fin de semaine. Il occupe une salle pour le moins originale au premier étage de l'établissement. Sinon, il y a bon nombre d'excellents restaurants dans les environs à la portée de tous les budgets. Un plus : les chiens sont bienvenus et il y a pour eux de jolies promenades dans les environs.
