This was our first visit to this hotel, but I suspect that it will not be the last! WeE always set a lot of store on the attitude of staff members, so were delighted to be so warmly welcomed by the gentleman at Reception. His charm and helpfulness were greatly appreciated. His excellent command of the English language was huge bonus. The room was well appointed with a very nice en-suite shower room; a large and very comfortable bed; and a kettle that allowed us to have a cup of coffee on our arrival. There was no milk (my wife does not like her coffee 'black'!), but the gentleman at Reception provided some on request. Breakfast on the following morning was superb with the largest variety of foodstuffs that we have encountered in any "budget" hotel. One little 'complaint' was the constant "filling-up" of a cistern. At first we thought the noise was coming from one of the adjacent rooms and, by the time we realised that it was coming from our own en-suite, there was no-one at Reception. Overall, a very positive experience.

This was our first visit to this establishment, but we will be happy to return. People are very important to us, and we were delighted with the friendly welcome by the gentleman on duty at Reception, when we arrived. His command of the English language was a real bonus! The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. A large, and very comfortable, bed; a delightful en-suite with shower, basin, and toilet; and, to crown it all, a kettle, that enabled us to make the tea/coffee provided. There was no milk (which my wife always takes in her coffee), but the gentleman at Reception gladly provided her with some. The breakfast was amazing, and the lady receptionist was also friendly. The variety of options was the best we have ever experienced in a "budget" hotel - and we have used a lot of them! Even the seating was of a higher quality than we have experienced in the past! The overall star rating is due to the fact that the toilet cistern seemed to be filling up every 15-20 minutes. We had thought, at first, that the noise was coming from other rooms around about, and that it would stop when everyone had gone to bed! If we had realised that the noise was from within our own room, we would have reported it to the gentleman before he went off-duty!

A shock to be charged so much local tax. I did check and it was over Euros 3 but we were charged more than expected by *******. The first room we were given had a broken toilet that flushed on it's own every couple of minutes and the door made a terrible scraping noise every time it was opened or closed. Not a problem we were given another room straight away. Problem was that this room had poor wifi reception and there was very long black hair in the sink and shower. By then it was too late to move as there was no reception staff. I suggested free breakfast as compensation but was refused. Disgusting, shouldn't be allowed and we should get a refund on our stay, it was disgusting. Morning reception said he'd pass on complaint and we would be emailed but nothing whatsoever.

Booked 1 night here as an overnight on camping trip. Very good value though out of town on an industrial estate. Therefore ate at hotel. Very good meal given the price. Room quite small but adequate for a sleepover. Staff VERY friendly and helpful and provided hot water for my wife for medical issue. Very quiet. Self service Breakfast was lovely. Highly recommended for a Stop Over. Hotels in Chartres far more expensive.

we stayed one night at the HOTEL INN DESIGN CHARTRES – the hotel is located on the Chartres ring road about 10 minutes drive from the centre ( sat nav 48°26'18.8"N 1°31'13.0"E /// 48.438544, 1.520273 or 31U east 390559 mE north 5366101 mN ) – the English speaking reception offered a warm and friendly welcome having stayed previously , the room was a good size being clean and comfortable – a kettle was provide -but no coffee dinner is only available through the week – so we found a takeaway Pizza in town breakfast was excellent a good selection and plentiful Car park is good Have used in the past - Would use again if in the area

Everything was clean and ready for our arrival late at night, people were very welcoming and at disposal, and the breakfast was perfect and composed of various dishes ! Everything you expect from an inn.

This hotel is unmanned but open meaning that anyone can enter the premises. This meant that reception was being used as a smoking lobby. I telephoned the number on the door but the staff were unable to assist and the manager was neither present nor contactable. It is by far the worst hotel we have had the misfortune to book in recent years! It is nothing like the photos!
