A very nice, quirky hotel in the centre of the town. Ideal for local amenities. The friendly staff directed us to secure parking for our motorcycles. Rooms were stylish and comfortable. While there isn't a restaurant as such we enjoyed a large platter of colde meats and cheese with excellent beers and wine.

We liked this hotel a lot -staff were helpful & welcoming , room was small but absolutely fine and parking on the lovely little square outside the hotel was easy but it was a Sunday so maybe we were lucky . Slightly tricky to find the hotel as there was lots of roadworks going on in the town but not a significant issue . Breakfast was good and the receptionist recommended La Licorne for dinner which was good & popular just a 5 minute walk away . We would definitely stay again .

We stayed one night as family of 4 and had two connecting rooms. Both were a good size and have a fridge which seems to be a novelty in France however only one of them was working (we arrived late and was only there for one night so didn’t complain). The hotel car park is a little tricky to find in the dark whilst driving on the other side of the road, we did find ourselves going round in circles on the one way system! The car park itself is tight but secure which is why we used it rather than one in the main square. The area outside the front of the hotel is lovely, quite lively when we arrived on a Thursday evening but everything seemed to close down at 11pm. The hotel staff were all really helpful and friendly particularly as I don’t speak any French. I would stop here again based on the experience that we had.

We stayed in the apartment unit from this hotel - it was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. It had two bedrooms for our family, which was the reason that it was chosen. It was in a bit older of a building, but the location was convenient and while the bathroom felt slightly outdated, it was a suitable option.

Hotel Renard This hotel was tired and cluttered with cheap art amidst the bottles of (not cheap) champagne. Even though there did not appear to be too many guests, there was a rush to move you to pay, to breakfast, to leave. Lots of young staff but no discernible ‘management’. I chose a ‘high’ room which means you take the only lift to the first floor and walk up four flights from there to the 3rd floor. 40 stairs or so. It’s not a big hotel, but confusing to get about it. The rooms are ok…the bed only large enough for one comfortably. It has be said the bed was very comfortable. There is little private parking but a large, town square car park opposite the hotel. I took all my things inside as I was concerned about my UK plates! Just as well as the noise in the square went on well past midnight. It is quite funky and a bit shabby trendy perhaps for a young couple (though expensive for what should only be 3 stars). There is a bar (that all the locals frequent) but no restaurant.

Perfectly located in Chalons en Champagne with municipal car parking in the market place immediately outside. Nice pavement terrace serving drinks and snack together with stylish ground floor bar. Surrounded by restaurants and 2 mins from the wonderful covered market. Rooms on 1st Floor to rear of hotel were were quiet, small & comfortable but very plain & functional. Fine for an overnight stay but unlikely to be satisfactory for a longer break. Didn't realise it was a 'spa' - no evidence of that from our visit.

Was right in town centre. Safe secure parking very close. Would definitely return. Thank you 😊

Most other reviews are positive, but I cannot agree. The wi-fi coverage is very poor. At times it did not work at all, at other times it was so slow that it was useless. The restaurant is more of a nightclub than a restaurant, and the noise is very loud in the rooms that face the street. People at the front desk were very pleasant. Overall, I like the town but would find another place to stay.
