Had Sunday lunch here. The setting has a lot of character, food excellent and service great. Very reasonably priced. Lovely town to look at for a stroll after and a trip to fernworthy reservoir is very recommended being only a few miles away if you want some exercise

Mary & Graham run and exceptional establishment. The hotel decor is truly beautiful and the food and ambience are superb. Located in the charming village of Chagford, with its excellent variety of shops and a hardware store that has regular customers travelling from Bristol to shop, it also has a friendly atmosphere. Surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside, once you have stayed at the Globe the whole experience will have you coming vack time and time again, if our enjoyment is anything to go by.

Outstanding food terrific service. Highlight of our stay in Chagford every year! Dietary requirements taken very seriously the food looks like a work of "art" and tastes like it too!! ...definitely the best meal I've ever had!!

After an energetic couple of days (ashbury manor) we decided to have one extra night chilling out The globe was delightful very welcoming and very quaint and cosy The steak and ale pie was absolutely the best served with a selection of vegetables cooked to perfection. We only managed to share a sticky toffee pudding but this was also delicious It was just a shame we could only stop 1 night but I’m sure we’ll be back - the village is charming although we didn’t get chance to wander round Anybody with mobility issues might find the stairs a bit challenging ( I’m not sure if any ground floor rooms) There are just some things in a beautiful old building that you have to accept

Booked a table In the restaurant for the evening after having a drink in the daytime. Lovely pub and very welcome when we arrived. Food was absolutely amazing. I had crab salad for starters and my partner had venison which was lovely and presented lovely. Main course we had duck and pie. What can say but the meal was absolutely amazing, food so tasty and big portions. Wow amazing chef and we had a lovely time. Landlord and landlady very friendly and made us so welcome. Wow! What a little gem. Amazing food. Not the most expansive of menus but what’s on offer is really really good. Good beet too. We were able to book a table from late in the afternoon (early July) and service was good and easy. I had the duck confit and would do so again. Will be back.

I stayed her with my dog whilst walking the 2 moors way. We were both made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a lovely spacious room. We'd done a long walk that day and really enjoyed the evening meal and beers in the bar. Breakfast was also really goo. Chagford appears to be a lively little village and has a 24/7 fresh milk and milkshake vending machine in the main square! There's quite a few other pubs and cafes in the village so it would be an ideal place to plan in a rest day if you are walking in the area.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Globe Inn. Friendly and helpful staff and very helpful chef too. A really nice place to stay.
