이비스 버젯 앙굴렘 센터(ibis budget Angoulême Centre)

This was my second time to stay Ibis budget hotel on business trip to Angoulem. Good overall this time again. I booked and paid for one room with two persons. Problem I had this time is NO Refrigrator in the room.

The room was a good size had air con that worked inermittently. The hotel needed a facelift and it was difficult to park anywhere. room had cobwebs because the cleaning was not very good. Breakfast was good not a huge choice but plenty of it and good coffee

Stayed for one night. When I entered the room the window was open, later I understood why: with the window closed a smell of sewage emanated from the bathroom. Kept the bathroom door closed and that solved the problem, bathroom looked clean, shower stall looked old and not well maintained, didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had included breakfast and that was worthwhile to have. Compared to other Ibis budget hotels this didn't quite make the grade. Ok for one night and close to the station.

I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter. We originally booked it for one night only, but due to changing family circumstances she had to add another night. She doesn't speak French, so she was very impressed with the staff ability to communicate with her and help her with all her needs. Customer service is what made this property to stand out. Thank you so much.

This hotel was terrible - the corridor and room both smelled horrific. The smell in the corridor was enough to make your eyes water. In the room the smell was like sweat, sewerage and garlic - we had to have to window wide open in order to sleep through it. Provided with only one towel for two people. Coffee machine kept breaking at breakfast. Thankfully we were only there for one night! Not recommended at all.

Very convenient for the station. Room clean and bright. Some of the woodwork and decoration looking a bit tired and worn but still clean. Aircon not brilliant but working. Being upgraded/replaced at the moment. Bedd very comfortable Breakfast good selection and well presented

Conveniently placed but the room was tired and grubby so only stayed one of the two nights that \i had paid for

MALGRE UNE OBLIGATION LEGALE, L’IBIS D’ANGOULEME REFUSE DE RENDRE DE L'ARGENT APPARTENANT A DES ENFANTS SOUFFRANT DE HANDICAP : En mars 2020, dans le cadre d’un événement caritatif devant se dérouler dans plusieurs villes de France, IHCPT, organisation irlandaise à but non lucratif s’occupant d’enfants en situation de handicap physique et/ou mental a effectué une réservation auprès de l’hôtel IBIS d’Angoulême. Cette réservation fut accompagnée d’un versement de 1000 euros. Avec l’arrivée de la crise sanitaire COVID 19, toutes les actions caritatives furent annulées. Les différentes réservations hôtelières liées à cette actualité le furent également. En ce même mois de mars 2020, une ordonnance gouvernementale fut spécialement votée et publiée. Cette ordonnance (ordonnance no 2020-315 du 25 mars 2020) dispose que, concernant les contrats de voyages et séjours du 1er mars 2020 au 15 septembre 2020, les hôtels ont le choix de rembourser intégralement les sommes engagées par leurs clients ou de proposer un bon de valeur égale, valable 18 mois, l’aliéna VII de l’article I de ladite ordonnance précisant qu’au bout de ces 18 mois, si le bon n’a pas été utilisé, le remboursement intégral des sommes devient obligatoire. Tous les hôtels avec lesquels IHCPT devait travailler ont intégralement remboursé les acomptes de réservations versés par l’association, tous les hôtels excepté l’IBIS d’Angoulême. IHCPT a fait parvenir à l’IBIS d’Angoulême plusieurs demandes de remboursement. Elles sont toutes restées sans suite. En mai 2020, l’IBIS d’Angoulême se décida à envoyer un bon valable 18 mois, d'une valeur des 1000 euros d’acompte versés par l’association. En novembre 2021, soit 18 mois plus tard, le bon n’ayant jamais été utilisé, IHCPT a recontacté l’IBIS d’Angoulême, précisément selon les modalités de l’ordonnance gouvernementale no 2020-315 du 25 mars 2020. A ce jour, malgré trois courriels leur rappelant aimablement l’obligation légale de rembourser les 1000 euros versés par l’association caritative, les personnes prétendument en charge de l’IBIS Angoulême restent malhonnêtement silencieuses, ne respectant ni la législation, ni leurs clients, ni les enfants en situation de handicap. _

NO COVID PASSPORT DEMANDED. Not a hotel, a hostel. Disturbed constantly with youngsters smoking **** and hash - smoke coming into room. Very Very noisy air conditioning generator outside audible from room. Rubbish breakfast. Rude elderly woman reception.
