good location, friendly staff, fantastic view

Mon séjour à l'Hôtel Cefalu Sea Palace du 4 au 6 août 2023 pour la modique somme de 1600€ a malheureusement été loin d'être à la hauteur de mes attentes. Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été déçu par le manque d'accueil et d'attention aux détails. A mon arrivée, j'ai remarqué qu'il n'y avait aucune bouteille d'eau en chambre, ce qui est pourtant une attention basique dans la plupart des établissements. De plus, l'absence de serviettes pour la piscine était une déception supplémentaire, limitant les possibilités de profiter de cette installation, sauf si vous laissez une caution à la réception, je ne vois ça que au camping !! Le manque d'options de parking, réservées apparemment uniquement aux voitures haut de gamme et connaissances de la Direction, a créé une certaine frustration. En outre, le manque de surveillance dans le parking a soulevé des inquiétudes quant à la sécurité de nos véhicules. Le service en chambre, notamment le room service, n’y est pas. L'absence de fer à repasser était également gênante, car cela limite grandement le confort des voyageurs. L'odeur d'égouts dans la chambre et l'ensemble de l'hôtel a créé une atmosphère désagréable, compromettant ainsi le séjour. Le manque d'attention aux besoins des clients a été particulièrement manifeste lorsque j'ai demandé un petit snack à 23:00. Aucune solution n'a été proposée et j'ai dû me débrouiller sous la pluie pour trouver un bar ouvert. De plus, il semblait y avoir un manque de personnel, en particulier au bar. Attendre longuement pour être servi par un seul barman était frustrant et a nui à l'expérience globale. En ce qui concerne le petit-déjeuner, les produits étaient limités et souvent peu frais. Aller 45 min avant la fermeture vous garantit un choix minimal des produits qui ne sont pas renouvelés. Attention le samedi soir : il y a juste en face de l’hôtel des soirées avec musique très forte et ceci jusqu’à 3h du matin ! L’insonorisation est presque nulle donc courage ! En somme, bien que j'aie eu l'occasion de séjourner dans de nombreux hôtels 5 étoiles, je suis au regret de constater que l'Hôtel Cefalu Sea Palace n'a pas su répondre à mes attentes les plus basiques. Il est dommage que la direction ne semble pas prêter attention aux besoins et aux préoccupations des clients. Dans l'état actuel des choses, je ne peux malheureusement pas recommander cet établissement.

Prima, net, schoon, kleinschalig en rustig hotel met vriendelijk personeel ( vooral receptie erg behulpzaam) op een voor ons geweldige locatie. 50 meter van privé strand met gratis strandbedjes en parasols en bar en handdoeken service. Faciliteiten verder prima. Op loopafstand van prachtig Cefalu waar het gezellig druk is en talloze prima restaurants tegen betaalbare zelf goedkope prijzen. Wij waren in ieder geval blij dat we alleen logies ontbijt hadden in het hotel. Ontbijt is gewoon prima . In het weekend kans op lokale bruiloft / feest maar totaal geen last van gehad. Verder geen entertainment bij het hotel. Wifi was zeer matig op kamer / balkon, alleen prima in centrale ruimtes.

Cefalu itself is a lovely place. The hotel was in a lovely location with its own private bit of beach which was a bonus. The room was nice with a good balcony. However, being half board, the evening meal was below average with over cooked vegetables and little choice. It is a four course meal - starter, primo, secondo and dessert. No sides. There was no atmosphere in the dining room. You were given the same table for the entire holiday. Rarely would I ever comment on food when going to a hotel as there is always something I would like, but honestly, I didn’t like this small set menu much at all. Breakfast however was quite adequate and I enjoyed it. This isn’t a 5 star hotel as stated. Perhaps a 3 star hotel. Lovely location for Cefalu though and we were happy with that.

The hotel was amazing. The location was perfect, so close to the old town (5 minute walk) and right next to the beach which has a lovely hotel bar. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it. The staff were always very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is on the rooftop with beautiful views and great options. Really can’t recommend this hotel enough, we did a package holiday through Jet 2 and found it very reasonable. The old town has lots of great restaurants. I’d recommend upgrading to a sea view as there are the most beautiful sunsets too. You can get a train to Palermo easily and it’s very reasonably priced.

We stayed at Sea Palace from 17th to 24th October 2025, having booked a Superior Twin Room with limted sea view. On our balcony we received a limited sea view but the description failed to mention the terrible car park view in room 305. We complained at Reception and were moved to room 222 the following morning with very good swimming pool and sea views. The reception area had Awards on display and the last was over 10 years ago. The hotel is no longer worthy of a 4.5 or 5 star rating, the lack of care and maintenance is obvious and now rates no more than 3.5 stars. On the plus side the Reception team, particularly Daniele and Alexandra, were always very helpful with a smile and chatty. The room was up to our expectations and the breakfast very good, with a special mention for the Egg Chef and the Cappuccino maker. There was no doorman to assist new guests on arrival and around 10 steps to the Reception level with no lift in sight. We were told there was a luggage lift but how it worked was a mystery.
