시에라 데 카소를라 스파(Hotel & Spa Sierra de Cazorla)

I booked this hotel for a very special milestone birthday. I had such high hopes for a 4 star spa hotel. I have to say i was disappointed. I booked a superior double which wasn't like the photos advertised so instantly was let down. They advertise some of the junior suite photos as the superior doubles. Then, to add to my disappointment the room was dirty, ok it was the Arab style ornate wood room which i appreciate will attract dust but I don't expect to see so much dust inside the drawers and wardrobes I literally had to wipe them all out before I could put my clothes in. The wall hanging was filthy and the bathroom surface around sink was also tired, full of what looked like cigarette burns, chips and holes. In hindsight i really shouldve asked for another room but my partner persuaded me we could make do with it but it made me upset on my special birthday. Aside from this I will say we had clean bedding, and a great view of La Iruela Castle and the restaurant and bar on site were excellent, but that is all. I thought maybe as it was a special birthday of which I had told them in advance, I may have got 1 chocolate on my pillow or even a happy birthday from the front desk but no nothing. I guess I shouldn't have such high expectations of a 4 star, but I've stayed in less star rated places and got much better to be honest. Shame.

The Spa is Fabulous, View from room gorgeous. Free parking. Room clean. Coffee bar with panorámic view So really should not complain . But hotel does need a total re vamp as Looking old and tired. Food in restaurant is not 4 star. Fabulous location for exploring the área. Think I would of scored It higher if had stayed in the 3 star part of hotel But then may of not got the view .

First, the view from our room was worth the stay—gorgeous! The hotel was good. Staff had limited English but that’s to be expected off the beaten track. The meals that came with “full board” were quite limited, and we would go a la Carter next time. Room was a little stuffy, and it was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. The thermostat didn’t do anything, so a bit of air conditioning was not an optio.

The Hotel is a tourist trap, every add on is very expensive. The spa is a particular rip off because the outdoor pool is closed its the only pool available for 60 euro per couple for 2 hour session. No Thanks! The breakfast was good but the evening meals were poor. Very disappointing that the outdoor swimming pool was closed, its hardly a 4 star hotel without this. We paid for a superior room but the room was also a disappointment. I had tried to contact the property directly 3 times before our stay and had no response. It was a lovely view from the small balcony. The room got made up daily and was cleaned nicely. The terrace bar was reasonable and the staff were nice. We did get a kettle and some plates and cutlery from the helpful staff. Overall it was a ok place to stay but pricey for what you get, and we don't want to return here again. Out of our 12 night holiday in Andalucía we stayed in 5 hotels this was the only one that was disappointing.

Great location and service. The room decor was quirky and parking was difficult, due to high season. Staff was great. Having drinks at the veranda with a great view of the olive fields and Sierra de Cazorla was an unforgettable experience. Great jumping point for hikes and visits around Jaén

SITUACION EXCEPCIONAL. LA CAFETERIA ESPECTACULAR.... RELAX Y CONFORT

Contraté 4 estrellas, y como la vista de la habitación era a la carretera y a una pared de piedra, pedí q me trasladaran. Lo hicieron a la zona de tres estrellas, pero por el mismo precio, donde las vistas son bonitas. El spa muy satisfactorio. La comida una pena. Tanto el buffet del desayuno como el resto de comidas muy pobres y con "racanería". Mismo restaurante y misma comida, tanto si has pagado para tres estrellas como para cuatro. Una anécdota: En el buffet desayuno la fruta no existe, sólo unas naranjas, enanas, que parecen recogidas del suelo (impresentables). Pido que por favor me traigan unos kiwis y me dicen que no están incluidos en lo que yo he contratado. Que si me los sirven los tengo q pagar. Me llevaron dos kiwis pequeños y duros y tuve que abonar 3,20 euros; es decir, me los vendieron a veintitantos euros el kilo como manjar de Dioses, siendo los mismos kiwis q pusieron de postre después en la cena. Son rácanos hasta dejárselo de sobra. En mi contrato no se especificaba el tipo mísero de comidas que nos iban a servir. Para nada se corresponde con un hotel de 4 estrellas. El comedor parece un bareto de carretera donde hacinan a los comensales.

Al ir con una niña de 10 años no nos dejaron entrar a la hora que teníamos pero no es eso son las formas de hablar la chica del mostrador del spa , prepotencia y poco tacto ante un niño así que hasta luego spa no cuentes con nosotros más y si es posible lo diremos una y mi veces
