Luis and his wife Maria are very attentive to your needs. They help us arrange excursions and a taxi to the airport. We had such a wonderful time on the island, but my favorite memories will be the delicious breakfasts served each morning at the rooftop bar. I wished we could stay longer and we hope to come back very soon!

Each morning we had a different hot breakfast served on the roof under a palapa. Every breakfast was delicious and the coffee is served in your own carafe! From there, we had a great view of the ocean on both sides! Luis and Maria are amazing hosts, chefs and sources of information on anything you have questions about. Brian, the owner, is also a super-nice and helpful person and all three of them made us feel right at home. They even were patient enough to help us with our Spanish as we're trying to learn this beautiful language. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the very quiet AC was a much-appreciated feature. Each suite has a lovely private patio too. The hosts have large but incredibly gentle and quiet dogs who made our stay even more enjoyable. This is a bed & breakdfast in the true and best sense: You feel right at home, it's very comfortable, quiet yet in the best location. The wifi is superior (better then we have at home) so I was able to work online in realtime with zero problem. We even watched a community soccer game or two from the palapa.

Worst place I stayed in my whole life. Whoever rated this place 3, 4, or 5 all of you have very low standards, sorry Very hard to find and extremely dirty and grimy (dirt was everywhere - fridge, dust bin, mirrors with tooth paste stains, garbage left from previous guests) GROSS The bathroom “door” was impossible to open from the inside and sometimes from the outside. My husband had to help me each time to get out of the washroom. The owner promised to have bottled water in the fridge - there was none. We asked the next day and he gave us the water + an ok breakfast (coffee was not drinkable though). He also did fix the door but come on - we shouldn’t be dealing with all of this trying to enjoy the country. Our impression of Belize was ruined. This is not the only bad experience we had. Also…I love pets and that was not an issue for me but there are several big dogs on the property - if you have a fear of big dogs, this place is also not for you.

I stayed at Yocamatsu for a full week at the end of June/ first week of July and it was incredible! It's a cute little B&B nestled behind trees, in the center of town but away from the noise, and a half block away from the best swimming beach on the island. I stayed in one of their cabanas with a private porch; the room was very large, and the bathroom and shower (good water pressure and hot water) were really nice! The breakfast everyday was delicious; the recipes and menu are created by the hotel manager, Luis. Luis is super nice, friendly, and helpful; a true gem. I was also able to meet Brian, the owner, toward the end of my stay, and he is wonderful as well. I really don't see why anyone would stay in a "hotel" when they could stay here! I 100% would stay again!
