쿠르살 호텔(Kursaal Hotel)

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The inside of the hotel is in need of an update as some parts are quite shabby. We booked a junior suite with sea view and whilst the view is very good the room was just a larger room (quite dated even though it was in the modern extension) with a sofa bed and right above the very noisy Racket Bar. I'm also not sure the plastic flower petals on the bed are appropriate given the current pandemic situation. The creaking and badly fitted doors on the wardrobes need to be sorted as well. There's lots of glass on the outside of the modern extension where we stayed but it's filthy dirty and someone should be cleaning this at least every week. There's a €15 per day charge for parking in the basement which only has access to the hotel via stairs and not a lift. No matter what I tried to do I couldn't get the shower head to stay in a single position. They should consider installing rain showers like most hotels have now. They ran out of fruit on one of the days for breakfast and there were no coffee cups or milk to be found on the other day. I will however say that the staff on reception though are very nice.

The best old waiter who played on piano. Kind to the kids. Comfort, services and atmosphere worth to come back and recommend to the friends and everybody. Had no time to try sauna and massage but would do these next time. Would highly recommend!!!

Our overall experience staying at the Kursaal was good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room /bathroom was well maintained daily. A slight negative was that the room itself was smaller than we expected given the rather grand exterior of the hotel. The shower was also somewhat cramped. Breakfast selection in the restaurant was good and was included in the entirely reasonable room rate for a pre-season (late May) stay. Hotel location was excellent both for beach and shopping access, overlooking the town's main square and central beach.

The food was amazing! And the restaurant workers were so helpful. They will make you eggs to order and fresh American coffee every morning! They also clean your room and provide fresh towels every single day. The view of the Adriatic Sea is in my mind forever. I absolutely loved it.

Property is Stunning, Staff is Superior and the Kitchen is Outstanding! This was the second time I have taken my cycling trip to Cattolica and I would not use any other hotel before the Kursaal, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Cattolica.

The Kursaal really lived up to its historical name as a grand hotel. Loved that it was located right on the beach and the town of Catolica. The Racket Bar attached to the hotel was a great place to pick up a light snack or lunch .The room had all the amenities, and the staff at Reception were very helpful. Even the breakfasts were excellent. I'd highly recommend this Hotel.

Always a beautiful feeling to come to this hotel at the reception i am always greeted with a smile by Nadia, Maura, Robetra or Luca depending on the moment. My room is always perfectely clean by the dedicated staff and in the dining area Michael is always top in supporting my wine and food requests. Thanks i'll be Back Soon! Four star hotel but most definitely not a 4 star service. 3 star at the very most and that’s being generous. When booking we were told we would have to change rooms. This was agreed and wasn’t a problem. When we arrived we were given the key to our room. We asked if we would still have to change room and they said we will let you know the night before if you do. Ok, so far so good. We went to our room and unpacked. A small room but with a beautiful view of the sea. 30 minutes later we received a call telling us they had made a mistake and they had given us the wrong room. Ok so mistakes happen. We changed room (this one slightly bigger and still with a sea view so all good). We were offered a bottle of wine for our inconvenience. We weren’t then ever informed that we would have to change room again. We were spending a nice morning at the beach when the hotel reception called and said we needed to change room before 14.00 (it was 13.00 and we were just about to go for linch). We asked why we hadn’t been informed the night before as promised and they said they had forgotten. (The number of acceptable mistakes is starting to mount up). We went and moved our bags to the new room. This room was a small room again with a view of the square but still ok. The problem was it stank of smoke. We called reception and they said to go and have lunch and we’ll clean the room again. The cleaners tried everything, took down the curtains sprayed oust everywhere but as the room was so small the smell was so ingrained that the smell didn’t go away. After spending just 10 minutes in the room our clothes also smelled of smoke. (The room is a non smoking room). We asked how long the previous customers had been in the room, and they told us 2 weeks. At this point you have to wonder why a cleaner didn’t notice earlier so the problem wouldn’t get this bad. We explained that the smell was intolerable and requested another room. We were told that all the customers had arrived so they couldn’t give us another room. We said for a hotel of this size surely you must have another room because if something goes wrong (air con breaks, shower not working and so on) then you can’t just tell customers you don’t have another room. We were offered a room in a nearby hotel for 1 night but then coming back to Kursall the next night (so 5 different rooms for a 5 night stay). The outcome was that we left 3 days into our 5 day holiday, very disappointed to say the least. The hotel in general is ok. The swimming pool is very small for the size of the hotel and with very limited space to lounge. There isn’t easy access into the pool, so if you have mobility problems it would be best to avoid it. The food was more of a 2 star hotel quality. They were accommodating to my food intolerances but the quality and quantity of the food was definitely below average.
