호텔 캄파넬로(Hotel Campanello)

We searched on ********** filtering out only hotels with a pool and this hotel is saying that they have one but they do not! We were very disappointed to find out that the pool they have in their marketing belong to the camping nearby and that we have to pay extra to use it! False marketing! And when asking the staff, we did not get any good reply. The room seemed a bit dated but is was clean. They used so much chlorine to clean that it smelled superstrong in hallway and room. Our room was not in the main building so perhaps they are more modern. The extra bed was quite short and not long enough for our 16 year old son. The breakfast was ok, not more. Location by the water was nice but very rocky possibilities to take a bath from there and the bottom was muddy. We took the car to get to a reasonable beach. Take the car to the port, there are a lot of restaurants there and nice to walk around.

Hotel Campanello treats you like family and this is extremely rare for properties anywhere in the world. The team are so unbelievably organised, caring, knowledgeable, hardworking, kind and focused on maximising the best experience for their guests. This extends from their lovely housekeeping staff through to their truly amazing reception team (multi-lingual and excellent communication at all times). We were blown away by the ways they showed they cared - from finding the best theme parks deal and booking the tickets (you only needed to mention this once), to helping you with any taxi bookings (it was so accurate and on-time thanks to them), random requests (a phone charging cable for an old phone was made available to me after I asked before I arrived - it was ready for me!) and just dedicated, friendly customer service. Plus, the included breakfast was very very good and has excellent variety - even fussy eaters like me were very pleased with the selection. It's a real treat to eat breakfast overlooking the lake. The location is great - walking distance to the very big Famila supermarket, Gardaland (easy 15min walk), 15min taxi to Movieland, and of course, the lake is right outside. Plenty of free parking and bikes/scooters can also be hired on site. Everything you need is here at the property. Rooms are spotless, decent sized and have a fridge, safe, good storage. Small touches like water and snacks were provided - such a nice touch and greatly appreciated. We were truly sad to check out - it felt like leaving home. We don't know how this hardworking team does it, but everyone knows the guests and their needs and communicate with each other - it is something very unique and businesses all over the world should learn from their ways. This is truly the best place to stay for this area and there's no need to think twice if you're doing your research as I have done it for you already. Grazie Mille, Hotel Campanello!

We found this a very pleasant hotel, located right on the lake, just a 15 minute walk into the town centre. Breakfasts were very good, with excellent choise and option to get cappucinos from the abr. We were in the rear annex but this was no probllem, room was compact but quite adequate for a short stay and had view of lake from balcony.

We arrived at Hotel Campanello and we were swiftly booked in and shown to our 2nd floor room with beautiful views across the lake from the balcony. The room was clean and simple - all we needed for a comfortable stay. The restaurant, being summer, was under big umbrellas outside on a huge terrace, again with magnificent views across to the lake - where we could watch the beautiful sunsets while sipping an aperitivo! We ate dinner there one evening and enjoyed good seafood. The hotel is not in Castelnuovo town, but at the end of a no-through road. This made it all super peaceful and calming. There’s no pool actually at the hotel, but right next door is a public Lido (pandemic times means you have to book ahead to go there as there are limits on space!) However, we were perfectly happy (along with a lot of other people!) to settle down on one of the little stoney beaches and swim freely in the lake. We spent a really pleasant 3 days at the hotel and it’s a good spot to use as a base to explore the little lakeside villages.

As a hotel it was not so bad. Room was large and there was an amazing view from the balcony. Receptionist was nice and helpful but service and food was awful. If you want the real Italy this is a really bad choice. Their spaghetti alla bolognese are so far from real Italian as is Czech Republic from Canada.

La famille Pasini tient excellemment bien l'hôtel : Nous avons passé un excellent séjour tant le service, l'accueil et l'hôtel étaient parfaits. Chambre très propre avec une salle de bain dans un parfait état. Literie confortable et propre. Le personnel est souriant, à toute heure, très serviable et d'une gentillesse. Des vélos dont électriques sont proposés en location pour des balades rafraîchissantes au bord du lac qui est juste en face. Le petit déjeuner est varié et de très bonne qualité (sucré et salé) L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait, à quelques minutes de Peschiera Del Garda et permet de rejoindre l'Est, l'Ouest ou l'incontournable presqu'île de Sirmione en quelques dizaines de minutes. C'est vraiment un hôtel au calme, parfait pour des vacances en toute sécurité et sérénité. Hôtel à recommander sans hésiter.
