페스타나 트로이아 에코 리조트 & 레지던스(Pestana Troia Eco-Resort & Residences)

This is my third time in Pestana Troia. It is a very nice resort with a very exclusive beach, which is hard to find in anywhere else in Portugal. However and although me and my family love the place, I think Pestana Management is doing a very bad job on managing resort. Hope this review helps the people in charge in take action. I stayed for 9 nights and there was no house cleaning or bed change! I had to call the reception and the only thing I had in return was an apology! (they refund me on the price of the presumably service, which is ridiculous taken into account how much you pay for each night in the resort!) The house where we stayed was poorly maintained; I had to call the reception; they fixed one of the showers, the kitchen sink and the front door! Other poorly maintained stuff could not be fixed! The kids wardrobes doors did not work properly! The water pressure barely made showering possible. The kitchen closets were all damaged and with a bad smell! The clothes hanger had rust which left my swim suits and towels damaged! And the A/C were noisy and unbearable during the night! If the price was half I would assume all this as acceptable. However I don't think the current house maintenance and housekeeping justifies the price we are paying! It is unacceptable! One more detail, the saunas are not working properly and they know it! Just warn me at check-in!! By the way the people in charge by the resort maintenance are for sure not doing a good job, because Covid is still no place, at least there's still a lot of posters on site with a Call to Action and Rules from Covid! Unbelievable!! It is a petty that Pestana people can't keep up with the dream resort they have and also with their higher (and higher) prices! It would be nice to have a Call Back from the management and at least to get an apology for the bad service they are doing! But probably management is on holidays!!

I loved it We stayed in an apar**ent with a pool and a view It was nice and clean The staff is professional and friendly The houses are, surrounded by amazing dunes, great pools, and thé best beach is one of the most amazing in the world I would go again tomorrow

We decided to break break our two weeks trip to Lisbon with a stay in Troia. The pictures from the resort were really appealing and the fact that they were pet friendly was the extra to push us for the decision of our reservations. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and professional. We had booked a private Villa with a pool. The Villa was spacious, very comfortable, clean and with extend facilities such as huge flat screen TV with international channels and kitchen appliances. The bed was super comfy and fluffy white towels. We had 3 bedrooms and we used only one. Was just me and my partner. Because was of season there was only one restaurant open, and the hours were short, nevertheless we did have a late lunch and the staff was very graceful and welcoming. The experience was great, we recharged and the beach experience was beyond this world! Highly recommend. We used the inside pool and the Turkish and dry sauna. We are coming back soon …., thank you Pestana staff!!

Room - great experience - comofortable beds - quiet - private terrace - every flat has its own private pool Location - fabulous location! - close to the beach Amenities - fully equipped kitchens - super nice terraces/balconies - opening the blinds/mosquito nets happens with a remote + switches on the wall (only part that wasn't very obvious)

Dont stay at this hotel, the service is awful, we took some small dogs, the hotel were aware of this & Okd it, the apar**ent we were given had cats in the garden of which they were hissing at the dogs & trying to fight them, we asked to move of which they said they had nothing so we had to leave after after one night, I asked for a manager to call me of which they didnt bother. Really poor service, meant to be a decent place to stay but wish I had never heard of them, they charged us for the whole 3 nights!

I was quite worried after booking this accommodation - the reviews on Trip Advisor weren't all brilliant, and it is very hard to get a sense of the accommodation from the website - not many pictures, and very few of the interior. I'll start with the positives - it's a very beautiful spot, fairly remote, and the resort has been very well designed to be in keeping with its surroundings (sand dunes, eucalyptus trees and pine forests). Our villa was a sand villa with pool and it was stunning. The pool was the perfect size, and the beds were super comfy. It was quiet and black out curtains meant we all slept well (despite the villa making odd creaking noises in the night!). The resort is fairly big, and can be reached by road from Lisbon in about 90 mins, or a much quicker and more fun way to reach it is via the car ferry from Setubal which takes 30 mins (Setubal is around 30 mins drive from Lisbon airport) and comes out literally across the road from the resort. Ferries run every 30 mins (Atlantic Ferries) and if you're lucky you might spot one of the resident dolphins on the way over (27 live in the Sado estuary) There isn't much to do on the resort, and eateries close when they want to. We turned up at the Moana Beach Club to find it had decided to close early (luckily they let us have a quick meal there first). The on-site restaurant closes at 5.30 which was pretty useless. Much better to stock up and cook yourself. The nearest supermarket is in the Troia resort, 5 mins from the resort. It's got most of the essentials, but if you want a bigger supermarket, the closest we could find was 45 mins away in Alcacer do Sal. There's also not that much for kids, a set of swings and a slide was the most we could find for our 4 year old but she spent most of her time in the pool anyway. There are bikes available to hire, our villa came with a couple but they were rusty and not that safe to ride very far. The newly build Troia resort is 5 mins away and reminded me of the Truman Show. It's an odd resort, built up and with hardly anyone around. The marina is quite sweet, and you can take dolphin watching trips which we did with Sado Emotion which was good fun (although started to get a bit boring after we'd seen the dolphins). There are a few restaurants on the marina which had nice views. Comporta, 10 mins down the road is much nicer. Some really good restaurants and expensive shops which take advantage of guests staying at the pricey resorts of Sublime Comporta and Quinta da Comporta. The rice fields here, which run down to Carvalhal are very beautiful and storks sit atop Telegraph poles on their nests rearing their chicks. The Stilt harbour at Carrasquiera is very picturesque, and the roman ruins of the old fish salting complex were worth visiting. We're glad we visited this very beautiful part of Portugal, it's peaceful and tranquil and unspoilt but at times we did feel a bit too remote and would have liked to have more restaurants nearby

Our stay was simply amazing. The luxurious house with a private pool, the super friendly staff, the restaurants with great food, and the private beach worthy of a postcard make this a truly memorable experience. Can’t wait to go back there!

We spent 4 days in this beautiful eco resort with my husband and a large group of friends for a wedding celebration. The resort is very easy to get to by ferry from Lisbon and our reception was impeccable. Friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Exceptional setting in this natural reserve where environmental respect and vacationer’s comfort have been successfully combined. We particularly enjoyed the savvy combination of easy accessible common zones: pools, shops, restaurants, tennis courts, combined with the privacy of perfectly sound insulated rooms in fully equipped apar**ents all with small private pools. Really enjoyed walking along the multiple board walks meandering through the pins and across the sand dunes thus preserving their fragile natural state all within the secured perimeter of the resort. The easily accessible, enormous, clean sand beach is a real treasure. We would definitely like to come again!

When we arrive they gave us a house with a lot of problems, most of them by bad usage. Then we reclaim and they gave us a new house with everything ok, the only thing that is still missing is good mattress.
