루 호텔 리비에라(Lu' Hotel Riviera)

Bellissimo hotel sul mare della splendida Carloforte. Camera eccellente sotto ogni aspetto, pulizia, servizio. Splendida la terrazza dove consumare ottime colazioni e godere di romantici tramonti all'ora dell'aperitivo.

Great city, close to parking, restaurants, bar and shopping. Ottimo rooftop bar.

We travelled as a couple and got a deluxe room, which has a nice marina view. The hotel is well positioned; it is close to city centre, bar and restaurants. Breakfast was served in a beautiful roof terrace, but the breakfast itself was pretty poor and limited. The only local products were a couple of cakes, natural yoghurt and 1 Sardinian cheese. They also had scramble eggs and bacon, which looked and tasted bad. Flavoured yoghurts were high street supermarket branded (conad). Breakfast also included a few cakes and cured meat which I did not try, and also cereals and cheap nuts. On the other hand, breakfast staff were very helpful and attentive. I'd give this breakfast a 3 out of 10. Our deluxe room was nice and luminous, and looked clean, but it was also a little dated. Stains could be seen pretty much everywhere in the room. Table tops were stained, same as shower floor and wc. On my first evening, I requested an iron, but the reception refused to help me as, according to the receptionist, that was not a service that they provide. I then had to go downstairs to the reception to personally ask for an iron or any other solution. It is just after a heated argument that the reception eventually phoned the manager, who made us aware that there was a washing and ironing room service, which I could benefit from...the next day. In other words, they did not help me and left me wondering if I had to stick an iron into my trolley. I must give 0 marks for effort and customer service on this one. Being a leisure and work world traveller, I had never had an iron request rejected, not even in much lower starred hotels. I felt like a lemon to squeeze, as I presumed that they just wanted me to pay for the ironing service (which I eventually did), but they had no interest to help me when I actually needed. In my humble opinion, hotel stars are useless if the hotel is unable to accommodate or at least manage such simple requests. When I travel, regardless of hotel stars, I like when I feel taken care of, as that is what makes the difference in a good hotel, but this is very far from my experience at Lu hotel riviera. The hotel has 44 rooms and about 6 driveway parkings + 2 disable parking, so do they really have a car park where I can park my car? The hotel parking was an important aspect which led me to choose Lu hotel Riviera over its competitors, but the bitter reality is that the hotel parking was pretty much always busy and I had to park in the public car park in front of the hotel. We eventually had a good 3 days break in Carloforte. I would NOT recommend Lu Hotel Riviera. I know that Carloforte does not have many hotel options, but try the competitors if you can as this is below average.

Clean, great location, yummy breakfast, but wifi was a bit slow. Employees are super friendly! Super close to where the ferry arrives. Lots of rooms that overlook the port. Close to the beach but you need a car. Stayed for two nights and enjoyed!!

Hotel common areas are nice. Breakfast is very limited and feels cheap, but breakfast staff are nice. I'd give it a 4 out of 10. Custmer service is pretty much not existent. I asked for an iron at 8pm and I was told that thet they do not provide such service. I had have an argument which enabled me the priviledge to get them to contact the manager and ask what to do. They eventually did not help and referred me to the wash and ironing room service which could only be provided the day after for a charge, so 0 marks on effort and customer service; nice rooms and hotel stars are useless if you do not accomodate such simple requests. Needless to say that bringing my iron in my trolley was out of discussion. I felt like a lemon to squeeze. Parking is also very limited. I ended up parking in the free public car park as hotel parking was always busy. So there is not really a private parking space if they have 6 parkings and lot of rooms. This was a crucial attribute in my decision to choose this hotel and I eventually felt a little mislead. Rooms are nice and clean, but also dated. Stains can be seen everywhere on furniture and shower/toilette. The view and location are the only selling points of the hotel. We eneded up having a good 3 days break. Would I go back to Lu hotel riviera? No, I'd choose a different hotel. Would I reccomend it to others? No, avoid this place as it is pretentious, not cheap and their passive customer service makes is a below average hotel.

Ottimo hotel, tranquillo e ben rifinito, lo staff cortese e sempre pronto a rispondere alle singole esigenze. Struttura pulita e in posizione molto comoda nel cuore di Carloforte davanti al porto, bellissima la vista dal balcone e bellissimo fare colazione all'ultimo piano sulla terrazza panoramica, colazione varia e ricca. Un particolare ringraziamento al portiere notturno Stefano che è stato un vulcano di informazioni di conoscenza dell'isola e ci aiutato molto a conoscere il posto e a muoverci nella nostra vacanza. Hotel da consigliare!

Hotel da consigliare per la posizione strategica, per le camere spaziose e funzionali, per la pulizia, per la cortesia di tutto lo staff ed in particolare del personale della meravigliosa terrazza al 5 piano dove si fa colazione coccolati da tutti loro tra i quali il bravissimo Luca e la sempre sorridente Federica che prepara degli ottimi dolci. Terrazza dove si può sorseggiare anche un buon aperitivo con vista mozzafiato sul porto.

Hôtel mérite bien ses 4, le personnel est très accueillante, agréable, la chambre est impeccable, le literie confortable, seul bémol les buses de la baignoire ne fonctionnent plus et le wifi un peu faible. Si non je vous le conseille les yeux fermés! Bel séjour et Carloforte est très jolie !!!
