It is a short 5 minute drive at the most to the lake and multiple public boat ramps. Only 15 to 20 minutes to the Shanty Tubes for river floating, as well as White Water Amphitheater Near by. New Braunfels is only 25 min. San Marcus is 45 minutes. Schlitterbahn water is a short 30 minute drive. Six flags San Antonio is a 50 minute drive. They can also arrange fishing trips and sunset cruises.There is horseback riding off 306 near Hancock. Reservations needed.Canyon Lake Gorge tours is an excellent interesting and historical tour. Reservations needed.Local history Museum and Dinosaur tracks.Tube rentals on 306. (There are also tubes in the gray shed on the back patio. You are responsible to bring them back and rinse them off.)A beach and Kayak rentals on Comal County Park a short drive away. Reservations can be made on line. Aqua Bella is an exquisite 2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths with water views from every room in the house! (Except bathrooms!) There are upstairs and downstairs decks that stretch the entire length of the home with beautiful views of the lake. You do have access to the lake from this home although it is not considered water front. The home is designed for those wanting quality not quantity! We have not stuffed numerous bunk beds in each bedroom but instead each room is spaciously furnished with one queen bed (king bed is now in master suite and bedroom downstairs!) as well as the downstairs living area has a queen sofa sleeper.
