GR Caribe Deluxe All Inclusive

Great value all inclusive hotel! The hotel is connected to the Royal Solaris and you have access to amenities and restaurants at both hotels. However, the GR Caribe is the more modern and more exclusive hotel. The vibe is notably nicer for couples without kids as the Royal Solaris pools are usually full of families.

This hotel is really nice. The service and food and the view were perfect.

I have a lot of negative comments but I will say we did have a good time. Unless you had a reservation there was not much service. It was all self serve. People at the pool had service but I go for the ocean. Long lines at the pool bar. The loony bar was great and I was thankful for access to the other hotel. We asked to be by our friends with our rooms and couldn’t have been farther away. It was difficult to get any information and our mini bar was only stocked by our housekeeping. You couldn’t call and ask for more. They said “not possible”. Buffet and snack bars were limited for sure. Not even close to 5 star service as identified.

We booked not knowing much about this resort except for how close it was to the airport. Had a bit of confusion around the shuttle we had organized at the airport, but it was quickly resolved. Note: if you book direct through the resort, the shuttle is included. If not, you pay extra and have to organize it yourself. The resort was very nice - our room was bigger than expected with a great king bed and a little sitting area. Definitely an older resort so some wear and tear is showing, but nothing terrible. The elevators were not great and we mostly took the stairs. This wasn’t an issue for us, but might be for someone else. The food at the buffet was good - exactly what you would expect from an all inclusive. The reserved restaurants were great and we had no issues booking through the app even day of. Service all around was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. Access to the two resorts was a nice bonus!

I had a reservation for GR Caribe and was moved to GR Solaris with a stupid excuse. I was so disappointed and no one seemed to care. If I wanted to stay at GR Solaris I would have made a reservation for that place. I have been staying at the caribe for over 11 years and sadly I won’t ever come back to stay at GR Caribe. Very Disappointed!!!!!

The staff were very nice and the location was great. The tennis court was a nice little addition. A change in the buffet style food would be nice because the food is very repetitive and boring. It’s catered to American cuisine and isn’t exciting or flavourful. That being said, the dinners offered at the restaurants are of good quality.

We had to wait hours for our room that we never got. They had to send us to adjoining property the Royal Solaris and that wasn't good either. Because of the torrential rains coming down in our closet, all our clothes got wet. We reported the closet to the front desk and they never fixed it. I would not use them again.
