Melia South Beach

Beautiful hotel! The views are amazing . great staff the service was TOP. I was there for my birthday and found in my room a very sweet note a bottle of cava and a slice of a delicious cake . Very thoughtful. Breakfast very nice also a lot of options to chose from. The only down side is that the toilet is open and it makes noises at night … i got scared a few times . For sure will visit again

Hôtel situé dans un quartier très animé, vue sur la rue où il y a énormément de fêtes et de fetards. Ce qu’on a le plus apprécié c’est le petit dej autour de la piscine. Chambre correct.

Cons: The breakfast hot buffet was not at all hot any of the mornings during our stay. We reported this to one of the waitresses who proceeded to go and dip her finger into the beans. If this wasn’t bad enough, we then never received any feedback and seemingly nothing was done as the hot buffet remained cold for the rest of our holiday. Further to this, the cakes were located in the outside part of the buffet, which every day, were covered in flies. These should be kept inside. Also, the churros were rock solid and inedible. The hand shower hose clip had broken so kept sliding down. We were unable to use this without holding it which was difficult when not wanting to wash hair daily. The pool bar was closed meaning the only available place to get lunch at the hotel was in the expensive a la crate restaurant. This was all big main meals (steak, salmon) with no place to get a lighter lunch. Wi-Fi did not reach up to our room (3rd floor). Coffee and tea is provided in the room however there is no milk cartons. We had to ask reception 3 times before any were bought up to our room. When they did, we only received 4 tiny pots. The sink plug did not work so we were unable to fill the sink. The shop next to reception was not open. There was no explanation at check in with regards to the 2 adjacent Melia hotels and what facilities we were able to use. It turns out access to the gym, indoor pool etc in both hotels is allowed for all guests. It appeared not many people were aware of the third pool to the side of the hotel as there was no signage. There were no information displays anywhere in the hotel for activities, entertainment etc. everything was via QR code. Pros: Good range of breakfast options. Hotel and room were clean and tidy. Staff were approachable and polite. Great location and sea view. Shame the Melia rooms only have a Juliette balcony. Easy to access rooms and buy drinks using the wristbands provided.

Please read in original English. The hotel and the personnel are outstanding, friendly and helpful. We were LeveL guests on the 10th floor and the view was truly breathtaking and the room was gorgeous. We previously stayed at the Melia hotel in Puerto Banus and really enjoyed our stay there as LeveL guests. The breakfast offered at both hotels is very generous and delicious. We were personally shown the grounds by Alejandro de la Hera Remacha and he was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our ten-day visit. The only reason I am not awarding the full pefect rating is because of the noise from the hotel's neighbor: Nicki Beach. A really great hotel with a noisy neighbor. The LeveL benefits are worth the extra price.

We have the Level Garden Suite. Amazing room, very spacious and lots of room for a family. The decking was brilliant. The pool facilities were exceptional The Level is really good, free alcholic drinks 17:00-18:00 every day. The staff, need more training, the welcome reception was as warm as a December morning! No tour of the hotel so we didn't know where the restaurant or bar was. Good pool activities and WiFi worked well

I loved this hotel! Got the junior suite and it was amazinggg. I was wondering if the place was going to be as good as the photos - and it was! The bed and pillows was the comfiest ever. I loved the bath. View. The pool was cold but amazing. All the staff were great. They offer extra activities. Breakfast was good. And I liked the location. I liked that it was next door to a beach club. It closes at 8pm so the noise isn’t an issue. This was one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed :)

Nice reception and pool area. However, just arrived and were told we were upgraded to sea view however room didn’t come with a balcony. Managed to speak to a lovely lady Patricia who gave us a free drink and tried to sort. She was really pleasant and helpful however we ended up having to downgrade rooms to get a balcony which just was a pain and not a nice experience. Make sure you ask for a balcony before arriving as not clear on website. I don’t think the melia group as a whole just try to upsell to all visitors and not good enough based on pictures and room descriptions on bookings. Wouldn’t recommend for a nice rooms but pool is lovely.

Visited Melia South Beach for a 4 night birthday celebration. Upon arrival we were greeted with a beautiful lobby, spotlessly clean and smiling reception staff. We were checked in, slowly, told one room was ready but one was not, and directed to the lift as we were both on the 10th floor. The rooms we were allocated were nice. They were clean, comfortable and had most things you want in a hotel room. The toilet and shower are in the bedroom so if you aren't well aquatinted, be warned, you will be after staying in one of these rooms.....zero privacy. One of our rooms had a big chip in the flooring where my daughter cut her leg on after slipping on the ice rink style floor. Also the balcony for both our rooms were filthy and needed some attention. However the beds are super comfortable and pillows are lovely but unfortunately this is where most of the positives end. After putting our cases into the one room we decided to go down, have a look about and a drink at the pool bar. We sat down at the last table but we're told if not ordering food then we have to leave....which we did. We then spent 10 minutes trying to get served 4 drinks by staff who clearly didn't want to be there. It was actually embarrassing how miserable the bar staff were to the point my mother asked him if he would rather be sat on the beach. After this we left. This seemed to be the case with 90% of the staff here, not attentive or pleasant. Very short tempered and a few of them outright rude. The pool maintenance man however was very nice, smiled every morning and wished us a good morning. The location of this hotel is quite good. At the far end of Magalluf not far from BCM and the complete opposite end to Palma Nova. It is next door to Nikki beach so most days had loud music, this didn't bother us but if you want peace, look elsewhere. There are a number of pools to choose from.....1 adults only, 1 Level (so again adults only) and one pool for all. After only one day here I can say 100% that there are maybe beds for 30% of the guests and it's first come first served. At 07:30 towels must go down or you don't get a bed or place by the pools.....even if the guests who put their towels down don't then reappear til 12pm nothing is done!!!!! We were at the hotel B&B so only ate in the hotel for lunch once. We had a Ceaser Salad, chicken tenders and 2 burgers. The salad and chicken were pretty good but we sent the burgers back....so tough and tasteless with soggy leaves and hard fries. The waiter did take them off the bill but we still had to go back as had charged us for nachos and a different salad that we did not order! The one thing that bumped this up from 2 to 3 stars was the breakfast. This is definitely one of the best breakfast spreads I've had. So so much choice and all tasty and well executed.
