Castillo Playa

Stayed here for 10 nights and having previously requested a bungalow with afternoon sun was very pleased to be given exactly what we asked for. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation however there were a couple of negatives. The positives first- We were in 106 which being on the edge of the complex was very private. Spacious terrace with sunbeds, and table and chairs. The bungalow was well equipped although very dated, bed was extremely comfortable and had a new mattress.also there was plenty of storage both in the bedroom and the living area. Great location only a few minutes from the centre and the beach. Bar and staff were absolutely fantastic , ate Sunday roast here and also breakfast on our last day both of which were top class and very reasonably priced as were the bar prices Now the negatives- The WiFi was extremely poor in and out all the time not what you expect in this day and age!, when we queried this on our first night the receptionist said it was because of clouds, not so as it was the same in completely clear skies. Very annoying when you're trying to watch a film on Netflix. Unfortunately there was always an unpleasant smell in the bathroom presumably coming from the drains. Maid service at our bungalow was every other day which seemed to differ from other reviews we read and the hotel website which said daily. Also during our 10 day stay the floors both inside and on the terrace were not swept or mopped once, cleaning seemed to consist of a a bit of bleach down the toilet and a wipe round the basin.

This was our first visit to the Castillo Playa Bungalows and we enjoyed every minute of it!. just returned from a 3 week holiday to Fuerteventura. We did not know what to expect after reading the reviews, but we were very pleased with the Castillo. Slightly dated, but was very well equipped and very clean. Had a new fridge/freezer which was very handy. kettle, toaster, all new. We were in bungalow 605 which was right next to the pool bar, the food from there was very good and reasonably priced. we ate in and from there several times. We ordered our food and they would ring us when the food was ready!. The Sunday lunch was very good!. there was a lot of returnees staying in the Castillo and it was nice everybody helping each other, the sunbeds were white plastics on our patio and someone who was leaving gave us a couple of mattresses, which we were very grateful for over the 3 weeks, we passed them on when we left. The bungalow was very well planned out, it was so quiet on a night, we never heard anything for the time we were there the shower room was ok, and the kitchen was very well equipped for self caterers. The Castillo is perfectly situated in Caleta De Fuste, only 5 min walk from the centre's bars/ restaurants, supermarkets. The beach is also a short walk away. As i said this was our first visit and sure it will not be our last, we are looking out to return at some point!.

Day 1 and this is being written from the side of the pool. This place is lovely, relaxing and a lovely layout with personal patios etc. Rooms are not what you would class as modern but they very clean and everything you need. Beds are comfy and it’s quiet at night. Location, 5 mins from main resort and supermarket. Just had a pool side chilled lunch and it was LOVELY !! Staff are lovely too FAB ALL ROUND

Been here before and love coming, staff here are all part of the experience,Front of house staff are amazing ,Elsa is a true Angel she is so helpful and considerate not to take away from the rest of front of house ,they do anything to help , The Bar staff are all great on Saturday night little Tracy done an amazing job cooking for us and serving us drinks a true all rounder ,well done , all the girls in the bar do a great job , Lynn does the best breakfast in caleta ,Honestly it’s well worth having . We return again in December and already can’t wait. Well done everyone .

Bungalows are dated but clean.You have you own little patio area with table, chairs and 2 sun loungers. Complex is quiet but the beach and bars are two minutes. Staff friendly. Ideal for couples for a week away or longer. It was our second visit and stayed 10 nights but we met other guests who were staying 2 and 3 month to avoid the winter. All guests seem to get along and everyone talks to you. Booked another 10 nights for end of January next year

The true test of any establishment is "Can I book at any time I want to go? If the answer is "NO" you've found a gem. This is the case here and booking well in advance is necessary at some times of the year. We stayed for a month in November and booked with Jet2 for next November the day we returned home. The owners have embarked on a much needed refurbishment programme and we had a new TV and bed during our stay. The staff are happy to help in anyway they can.

We are regular visitors and there are many reasons why. Accommodation is basic but has everything you need. The staff are all brilliant and very friendly. On site restaurant/bar has good food and drinks at very reasonable prices. We will be back soon.

Well where do I start we have not stayed here before but we will definitely be back! As people say a little old fashioned but spotless and cleaning ladies are lovely. Nice little bar and food area these ladies are so lovely and always there to help when they can, all the staff were really amazing and nothing to much trouble and the other guests were very welcoming as I’m sure many are returning each year. Thank you so much for a wonderful week and will look forward to coming back❤️

We have been staying here for a week in February to for last 8 years. Accommodation is basic and little dated but does the job. Apartment is clean and sunbeds are on the patio so you don’t need to travel too far! Complimentary wine and water on arrival, free Wi-Fi -and iron. Location wise it is ideal - just a few mins away from the main square and the beach. Will come back again next year - as they provide excellent value for money
