푸에르토 칼레타(Puerto Caleta)

Pros - Good, quiet location near shops and restaurants, 10 min walk to the beach. Cons - Rooms very shabby and outdated. Broken and and mouldy shower door which didn't fit, cracked bathroom sink and disgusting fittings, outside louvre doors didn't fit and wouldn't lock properly, dirty sofa bed in lounge which fortunately wasn't used, cockroaches in bedroom, one dirty, torn umbrella for whole complex, filthy and threadbare sunbeds at pool, putrid smell in bathroom, No pool view room as paid and booked so had to get moved midweek.

The hotel staff was the greatest point, friendly, respectful and professional, the hotel itself is very outdated, with a lot to improve such as the decor, WiFi connectivity in the rooms and outside, the idea is self catering became unpleasant when you have to hire kettles, toasters and fans! Talking about that why there are no Air conditioning in the rooms? So those things made de stay unpleasant, the pool and bar is very old and need a massive refurbishment, the pool table and football table very old and rusty!

Had a great stay at the hotel..it is however becoming very run down with a lot of upgrading required ..also a lack of umbrella at the poolside should the sun become unbearable. The staff are the best in any hotel I have stayed at and go out of their way to help and the pool bar is extremely reasonably priced, plenty of sundowners and no mad scramble, definitely would recommend and stay again

Our 4th visit we love this place it’s so nice ,hot showers ,comfy beds ,big terrace ,well equipped kitchen ,great staff and cleaners ,great pool two happy hours a day for drinks ,delicious snacks .We have the best time ,Near all restaurants and the beach .

We stayed here for a week and there are two things that stand out for me. The staff and the location. Staff are fabulous, everyone was happy service was great, the location couldn’t be more perfect it’s central for everything. My impression of the rooms is that they are tired and shabby, holes in the walls, shower was poor, beds were awful. The pool area shouldn’t even be open. Most of the sun beds were broken and old, the pool looked like it was in an abandoned hotel. There was more paint peeled away than actually still attached, big patches of bare concrete all over the pool. It really was shocking. The general areas around the hotel were quite nice. I would come back here if the owners spent some money to update and maintain the hotel, the staff work so hard to keep everyone happy and they are let down by the poor condition of the hotel. I wouldn’t spend money to stay here in this condition, it really is such a mess. It could be such a lovely hotel, it’s a shame to see it like this.

First time staying at the Puerto Caleta apartments and also first time in Fuerteventura. Staff at the apartments are lovely especially Olivia. Olivia is friendly, happy and professional she definitely made our stay more pleasant. Accommodation was basic and fine and clean with comfortable beds. The sun beds are fine and clean and there are plenty of them. Disappointing that you have to hire the basics, a kettle and a toaster but I had read the reviews and knew to expect this charge. The whole complex is tired as is the resort, Caleta de Fuste. Enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't return. Please don't go by all the negative reviews. The apartments are fine and in a great location.

When we arrived we were a little disappointed to learn we had to hire kettle toaster and hairdryer, although the receptionist was welcoming and very friendly. The room when we entered appeared a bit tired and dated, there was areas around the property that had been patched up but not very well, bad siliconing around the kitchen area and the shower tray that didn’t look the best and dated curtains, sofa coverings and bed throws .. but .. the apartment was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed, the beds where clean with a mattress protector and comfortable and the room cleaning service was excellent, coming in every other day. Recycling bags were provided and the shower was just right. We shared our ground floor terrace with two other neighbours that we enjoyed talking to, although there was no sun on the terrace at all, and the patio furniture was colour corroded by the sun, but the open pool area literally 10 steps away was bathed in sunshine with an excellent bar, great staff, nice seating area, lots of sunbeds, a pool table and a great atmosphere. The pool was a nice size but looked like it also needed a bit of a face lift. The complex was busy with other holiday makers and in a prime location near to the town centre and all amenities, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely come back here again because it is in a great location and clean, it would be nice to see a couple of small improvements on the interior of the apartments and the pool but overall a very enjoyable stay.

Just had a week the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was dated and could do with a refurb however was spotlessly clean with bedding and towels changed regularly and on request. The beds were very firm but comfortable and the hotel is situated centrally with easy access to beach restaurants bars and shops. There is a snall charge of 8 euros esch for a kettle,toaster hsir dryer etc which offers exceptional value snd a 5 euro deposit for a room safe which is returned on handing back the key.Please remember that this is a 2 star hotel complex but for what we paid met our expectations and we will be returning.

The internet speed could be better. More power outlets. Kitchen had 1 which for kettle, toaster microwave not enough. One socket in bedroom which had to remove the telephone from. One socket in lounge as other was for tv. Strange you have to hire a kettle and toaster. Apartment was clean and tidy. Staff friendly, pool area and general areas clean and tidy
