scammers, looters and thieves. They will try to scam you when you arrive by first cancelling your booking regardless of where you made it from and then trying to charge you alot more than agreed and that too converting it on a bad exchange rate in local currency. Rooms are dirty and not for family. There is never any water. The breakfast is bad and non existent. We arrived with three little kids at 10 pm and they made us wait at lobby for 3 hours after taking our money and not letting us stay even. They also have peep holes in their bathrooms from where they can see guests as my partner saw one of staff peeping in while they showered to which we complainted but no action was taken. Mahmoud and Noor are horrible people and the worst representation of egypt.

Rooms leak, there is no soap, towels - nothing! When you get to the accommodation they charge commission for booking .com and then make you cancel the booking so you are paying commission for nothing! They are scamming frauds - when we wanted to leave and get an automatic refund they convinced us to stay one night and get refund on the morning. Next morning the lady at reception was rude and would not refund the 2 nights as she said they do not have reservation for the room. I then spoke to the boss on phone who would also not budge on refunding the two nights and said he would give us a better hotel to move to. We agreed to do this for the interim because we had been arguing about the refund for over 40minutes and had a tour driver outside waiting for us. Reception lady then told us to move our bags outside of the room, I said no because we’ve paid for the room so we will move it later! In the end we returned and received a $71.40USD refund in EGP 2200… it was agreed $73 USD which isn’t much of a difference but when you’ve been treated like the trash on the side street already, you’d think they’d refund more not below what was quoted!!. This area is also rubbish prone with street hagglers at every step. If you’re used to a nice hotel/motel - book streamline like Novotel, Hilton etc - pay the extra because the hassle of this place is NOT worth it.

Very poor hotel in terms of cleanliness and location. Bathroom very undesirable and breakfast was poor. Only positive was the view from the roof. Disappointing for first time in Cairo itself. Wouldn't recommend.

Horrible! I reserved their best Room for 300 dolars for 2 nights. Arriving the hotel, the price came from 300 to 450 dolars. They tried to put me in a different Room of the onde reserved, this Room was half of the price of the onde reserved. I reclaimed and they put me in the right Room but without airconditioner in the middle of the desert. In the Second day they came to me to tell the value they charged was wrong and I had to pay more 30 dolars. This place os dishonest, be carefull!! Good localization but with a horrible experience

The view from the roof top is really beautiful and magnificent The breakfast was really good and high quality The staff there really helpful and listening They are organizing some excellent tours i really recommend this for you Thanks a lot guys

The best by far of the hotel is the stunning views to the pyramids. Nevertheless, the facilities are just disgusting. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and there is room for improvement in terms of cleaning. The bathroom seemed not to have been cleaned for ages. Unfortunately, we really had a very bad experience.

This hotel is called the Sphynx inn on *********** but is actually called 'The sphynx comfort inn' when you arrive...a little dodgy that they have used different names (*********** review score 9, Trip advisor 2.5!). Location is superb I won't fault that. In terms of view, it is the closest to the pyramids and the highest roof terrace. Breakfast is also pretty good. It also took us about 90 seconds to find and walk to the entrance for said pyramids. Collection from the airport was amazing as well, our driver was super lovely and he pointed out some of the sights on route. The facilities however, are non existent, I've stayed in better equipped hostels. It's also not the cleanest. I woke up with a lot of bites on my back, there were hairs in the bed and when the shower curtain touched you, it made you cringe inside. The sales pitch on arrival is DREADFUL! It's a lie. The guy told us the furthest pyramid was at least 5km - it was may be 1km at most. He told us we couldn't walk to certain places without a camel/guide - also a lie, we walked all over the place, just the two of us and were fine. He then was just a bit rude when we said we had not been, nor wanted to go, to certain places.

Do not fall into the trap. the only good thing they had was the roof top over looking the pyramids. but otherwise, its all a sham. we stayed there for 3 nights and I would say its 3 more than what we should've stayed. extremely bad service, poor rooms, bathroom - I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this by far is the worst of all. they tend to change their name (it happened once since i booked it in Jan). but note the address - Nazlet El-Semman, Al Haram, Giza Governorate 12556
