푸아예(Foyer)

Just came from a 5 star hotel in Sicily, and this little Hotel is my favorite stay of our trip. Super clean, amazing breakfast, most comfortable bed, modern interior, and the owner is super kind (prepared the breakfast and check-in). We’ll be staying here any time we stay in Cagliari.

Pros: - Location: (Walking) Civic Market of San Benedetto (7min), Museo archeologico nazionale (15min), Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta e Santa Cecilia (18min), Quartiere Castello (17min). - Bathroom amenities: Liquid soap, combined shampoo/shower gel, tissues, hairdryer. - In-room safe large enough for a laptop. - Comfortable bed and good blockout curtains. - Safe, quiet neighbourhood and pleasant staff. Cons: - As others have previously mentioned here (and on other review sites), breakfast was disappointing. While no hot food is completely understandable, a continental breakfast should at least include the basic cereal, fresh pastries and fruit yoghurt, none of which were on offer. Further, the bread was not fresh and coffee from the coffee machine was undrinkable. I recommend going to the pasticceria (3 minutes walk) for good coffee, sweet/savoury pastries and fresh juice, instead. - Shower water temperature was temperamental, taking several minutes for any hot water to arrive and then randomly turning cold mid-shower.

Foyer is a suite of lovely rooms with a light and airy breakfast room. It has everything you could want for a comfortable stay with a touch of luxury. Breakfast is an ample buffet with a good choice and the new town location is leafy and peaceful. If you need secure parking, a small fee gets you a gated space behind the building. Best of all, owner Fernando is a charming host who is happy to suggest itineraries, places to eat and lovely walks in and around Cagliari.

The owner went out of his way to help us with a late, last minute checkin. We only stayed one day, wished it was longer.

The hotel was flawless. Everyday a maid cleaned our room and made our beds. We got a dinner and the owner was politely asking us whether we have everything. He lent us umbrellas when we needed and complied with all we asked. Although the owner did not speak advanced English, he was pretty good at it in comparison with other Italians on other places.

Decent location, walkable to sites. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast, had a great room with nice décor. Limited street parking available, but was able to find a spot close by both nights. I would stay here again if go back to Cagliari.

Doskonała lokalizacja szczególnie jeśli planuje się poruszanie się po Cagliari rowerem. Świetny punkt do zwiedzania zarówno historycznego centrum jak i plaży Poeto oraz parku Molentargius. Bezpieczny garaż dla rowerów. W nocy cisza i dobry sen w bardzo wygodnym łóżku. Właścicielka serdeczna i pomocna. Polecam. Maria

Do cinque perché non si può dare di più. Ma l'esperienza è stata super positiva. Camera spaziosa,nuova,pulita. Posizione centrale a due passi dal centro. Ma soprattutto il signor Fernando e sua moglie sono di una gentilezza e ospitalità che poche volte si incontra. Sarà la mia scelta ogni volta che andrò a Cagliari .

Ho soggiornato per tre giorni al Foyer con mia moglie in quanto a quattro o cinque minuti a piedi dalla clinica S. Anna, in cui dovevo operarmi di cataratta. Stanze spaziose, luminose, pulite in una via silenziosa, via S. Vetrano, vicino a Via Bacaredda. Sono disponibili nove tra camere e suites, tutte di recente ristrutturazione. Le camere sono dotate di TV, frigo, condizionatore,cassaforte, bagno e antibagno e ascensore diretto nella struttura. Prezzi onesti. Consigliato, specialmente per chi deve operarsi nella clinica vicina
