Wow what a gem! Amazing place to stay. Our room was wonderful, loved all the unique little extras. The decor was brilliant, we loved the Goldilocks theme. We had everything we needed in our room. The bed was very comfy, the shower lovely, the bath a great extra. The speaker was fabulous, fiance now wants to buy a Marshall!! We had a great nights sleep, the hotel was very quiet. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff all very friendly and attentive. This was our first stay and we'll definitely be booking again

We visited for Sunday lunch, first the positives Sunday lunch was exceptional, not often a Sunday lunch beats my husband, but the quality and quantity did, the staff attentive and helpful. The negatives £11 for a 250 ml glass of wine , seriously, we stayed in a 4 star hotel last weekend and a large glass of wine was £9.50 - Asda have an offer on this week 2 bottles of same type of wine £10. The next issue 10% service charge , not mentioned on the menu as being charged, we were served our drinks at the bar on the way into the restaurant, why are you charging a 10% service charge for a service not provided. Will we return unfortunately not, whilst we didn’t mind the food pricing , please look at your drinks pricing.

A great find ! A hotel with great decor, comfortable rooms, a great bar and restaurant, and excellent proximity to Christchurch. Staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent food. Will be my go-to hotel for this area from now on! To think I used to stay in a nearby Premier Inn...what was I thinking ??

Very poor service Waited far too long for a very inadequate meal. Children would still be hungry after eating it. Dessert was unbelievably awful. Supposedly lemon flavour Tasted of nothing but white paste Refund offered and taken. Home for toast. Don't bother wasting your money Go to McDonald's instead

Had a night out with friends, very disappointed with the food! Had the fish and chips advertised as 2. For £15. We were charged £17. Advised it would be a smaller portion,It was a child sized portion. The desert was disappointing no flavour supposed to have been a lemon flavour. No lemon what so ever. It felt like we were not wanted. Had to wait for nearly an hour for food to be served. Half slice of bread and butter each. Wont be returning

Wow, this pub/hotel is full of character, from. the library to Goldilocks's bedroom. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and the staff so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a night or two at The Bear of Burton

I booked a standard double for a single night solo trip and could not fault the facilities which that room offered..... it had just about everything that was required. Comfortable double bed, modern shower room and the hospitality tray had everything. There was a coffee machine with pods, kettle with excellent selection of teas and best of all.... a fridge with REAL milk and bottled water. Some quality chocolates and a token for a G&T from the bar was also a nice touch! The pub is set back from the road facing open countryside and I was not aware of any traffic noise. Breakfast was really good. Self-service choice of cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit and pastries followed by an excellent hot 'full English' cooked to order! Really can't fault the value of this place and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for the 1st time last night. It was our anniversary and we booked the Goldilocks suite. The room was beautiful and we had an excellent nights sleep. The staff made our stay even more special and the food was amazing. Thank you Bear of Burton staff for going the extra mile and making our Anniversary so special .

Waited over hour and twenty minutes for food - 25 mins for plates to be cleared - received discount of 20 % because of kitchen mess up - restaurant was not busy so not sure why a problem- unfortunately this place is not what it used to be - food average
