AVOID AVOID AVOID. We booked this property because we had seen the pictures and the location, wanted to rest after our camping trip and recover. As soon as we arrived, we felt misled. The building which calls itself LOFT Astoria is unbelievably ugly and not well-kept. The lobby lacked any real details or proper lighting, and it smelled like dirty drainage water. The hotel hadn‘t informed us there was NO FUNCTIONING ELEVATOR for a fourth floor apartment, and I had an injured ankle. We called to see if we could get help bringing the things up; but there is NO RECEPTION or people on call to take care of the property or the guests. As my boyfriend is carrying all the things up, we start hearing men screaming inside the building, no light in the stairs even in the middle of the day, and the floor in the walkway fully drenched in dirty water. The interior of the building looks like a prison, exposed concrete and the like. Inside the apartment, though a lot better, was still definitely not worth the money we paid. There was water coming out of the floor when you walked on it, some kitchen equipment but definitely not enough to cook, blunt knives, coffee maker but no coffee, an old shampoo bottle filled with old soap in the bathroom, an unclean floor and through the windows the sound of fire trucks blasting every 10 minutes. To top it off, they charge extra for cleaning, for towel change, and instead of having a reception to help, have a list of surcharges they are ready to make. The management is disrespectful with no understanding of what hospitality is. We would recommend you save yourselves the trouble and book elsewhere.

Great location for exploring city, apartment generous in sizing and a whole family could stay in the room. Inside apartment clean and comfy with large 50" smart TV, albeit we couldnt figure out the volume control! It would have been nice to have a few basics, such as water Tea, coffee, shower gel etc. Common areas of apartment area were quite dirty with litter not collected for a few days, it also seemend that homeless people were sleeping rough in the common areas. Overall good value adn would consider again as the lcoation was perfect.

Not usually one to moan or write bad reviews but wanted to make people aware so they weren’t as let down as we were. Very disappointed. Nothing like photos. Check in process very complicated (have to email them your passport & card details to get code to enter building as no reception). Entrance way looks extremely dodgy, with broken glass door and mirror. Weird public balcony area that stinks of fags as guests are allowed to smoke there. Arrived to our room door to find a can and a glass full of fag ends on our windowsill. Room was very dirty, stained furniture, broken cupboards, broken blinds, dirty bedding, air conditioning didn’t work, windows not sound proof at all so kept awake by traffic, only get 1 key card so if you decided to go out separately you both wouldn’t be able to get back in. Didn’t get a single clean/towel change for the 4 nights we were here and one of the beds wasn’t even made up when we arrived, had to email them to get someone to come and put bedding on it, to then we walked in on by the maid at 5pm who just waltzed in, put the bedding on and walked out slamming the door. The shower does not drain water and leaves a pool, which you are given a mop and bucket and expected to clean the water yourself. Kitchen appliances OK but stove was dirty, dishwasher had no tablets to use and a nespresso coffee machine with no coffee pods provided. Emailed to ask if we could extend our checkout time or store our bags somewhere as we have to be out by 10am but our flight isn’t until 8pm, but had no response. Real real shame as we were so excited to come to this apartment as it looks beautiful on the photos (furniture and bedding completely different from photos). The space has such potential but has been a real let down as it just seems like nobody cares about the property. Would’ve given a 0 out of 5 but here are the positives: the room is a good size and it is a good location. smart TV so can login to netflix/youtube etc. main bedroom mattress fairly comfy. walls seem to be pretty soundproof as can’t hear neighbours. AVOID.

This is advertised as a four star hotel. Instead, i received a tedious 8 page online form to fill before arrival along with an online credit card relaese form. Pending filling this i received a two page e-mail explaining the very complex way of how to get into the property, as there is no reception in the building. You enter one code at the main gate, climb all the floors through a dark, dodgy stairway with all your luggage, as elevator does not work, find some little box on the wall with the key in it, have to enter another code into this box in the pitch dark. Whole process with local knowlwdge, live internet and telephone connection to consult representative took at least 50-60 minutes. I have no idea how a stranger to town would after a long flight could manage this. Cleaning very superficial, not professional hotel level, bedding OK. Location perfect.

Living room was spacious, and very nice location. However the property was not in good condition, broken toilet door, broken bed, marks on the wall. It was non smoking room but the moment we checked in the room there was a smell as if someone recently smoked. It was hot and air conditioning was also not there. I would rate my experience as average,

Sold as a loft apartment with a beautiful garden f terrace. The garden had absolutely no furniture contrary to what was advertised, they said they’d send some over - didn’t do so and lied stating we’d said we didn’t want any, then changed the story to having none available. There is no curtain on the “second bedroom” which is actually just a cupboard with what is supposed to be a double bed but is in fact two single mattresses wall to wall. No curtain meant I was very exposed to all people staying with us walking past the room to the living room or to the bathroom. There were no bowls or wine glasses. The microwave doesn’t have a button on it to press start meaning it’s unusable. The iron/ironing board is unusable. It’s not a cheap apartment, we went there for a 50th birthday, but it was far from luxury as it’s sold. Loft Astoria haven’t responded to any complaints made during or after our stay. Don’t waste your money!

Great location, lots of room and comfort, easy in and out with family and friends picking us up in front of the Hotel. Little problem with the Shower plumbing and check in but overall it was a good stay

It was easy to get to, the kitchen I side was helpful and the bed really comfortable. I’ll definitely stay here again
