Everything about this hotel is great and the price is fantastic, with the location being really good too. Would I stay here again, definitely, but I would not take the breakfast option, it is chaos. The set up is awful as it is downstairs, where everything is so crammed, you have to wait at the bottom of the stairs to be seated (people trying to pass to leave the restaurant, the staff were run off their feet, there were 4 of us and we had to be split and sat at 2 different tables as they could not accommodate a table for 4. Also, the dynamics and layout of the breakfast area is a total mess, no-one knows where and how to form orderly queues (I put this part down to restaurant management) where it could have been so much easier for people. Finding items was also a nightmare due to the amount of people crammed into such a small space. If management could sort out their breakfast arrangements, which shouldn't be that difficult, why have people queuing at the bottom of the only stairs to get in and out, plus the foot of the stairs are literally 6ft from the kitchen service area, it is a ridiculous situation and setup. There is a huge lounge above the restaurant, if they are low on space, then have people seat in the lounge upstairs and maybe be offered a drink, until they know tables are ready downstairs. We literally could not wait to get out of there ... it actually tainted what was a really good stay and experience for me as the rooms are really nice, clean and spacious and the staff are excellent and work hard. I would book a room again for sure as the prices are excellent for such a pleasant and spacious hotel, but I would never book any form of dining here... especially breakfast.
