We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm cottage decently located 5 mins drive from the very picturesque and memorable Margaret River town. This accommodation is also within minutes to an hour drive to interesting and scenic wineries and wine estates around the Margaret River region. We also drove to Augusta (1 hour) which I thought could have given a miss. Should have spent more time exploring Margaret River spots. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and so chirpily by joyful Kim (and Brian the peacock), we were mesmerized as we drove up to our warmed and lit up cottage. The cottage feels very new with very thoughtful amenities and facilities. Laundry facilities is shared and located by the reception/house. Kim was very kind to help us with our laundry while we went out wine, food, scene hunting. The cottage. Some thoughtful measures I can remember are the well lit walk-in closet, easy-to-operate blackout blinds, strong aircond/heater in the living room, easy-to-follow instructions for fireplace with lots of logs provided, a cute fireplace, heated blankets on beds. Laundry basin with drying rack. Supply of breakfast food like bread, cereal, milk, juice, eggs, coffee/tea for our first morning. Heated lighting in the bathroom. Good water flow and shower head is movable. A lot of space for luggages. The farm tour. The reason we came to stay at Margaret River Hideaway was to meet farm animals. We were very happy with the way the farm experience was organized. Danii, our farm host and guide enchanted us with her friendly animals and of course plenty of wit and charm. Even adults turned into little children all of us wanting to have a go at feeding, stroking and befriending the animals such as alpacas, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, cows, did I miss anyone(?). The town. All their recommendations, we took up and had a great time especially dining at the tavern which we enjoyed so much that we returned for the second night. Margaret River Hideaway and Cottages completed our perfect stay at Margaret River.
