퀀 로지 호텔(The Quorn Lodge Hotel)

The rooms are well appointed, with a comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe and storage space, but, the rooms were cold when we got there and did not heat up at all. No thermostat or instructions on the heating. The curtains were thin and useless in the morning. The bathroom needed modernising and the shower was a waste of space. The food offered was over priced. Plenty of places to eat in the town that are allot cheaper.

Good service including providing a meal in the evening on request and bar facilities being available.

The property is dated and in need of some refurbishment. The staff had only been in place for 3 days after a takeover(?) but were friendly and helpful as possible. The room was big and had a huge bathroom. The shower was not powerful and a towel ring would have been useful near the sink rather than us trailing water across the floor. However, all the above things taken into account, we would return there next year to see what had been done with the place.

We enjoyed our stay at the Quorn Hotel in Melton Mowbray. The family who run the hotel are wonderful, they were very kind and helpful during our stay. The hotel is a beautiful building and was impeccably clean and well stocked. The food was delicious. Big plus is that the hotel has a wonderful bar which was open and serves drinks until 10 pm. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice spot really handy for the town centre and for accessing the Vale. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely hotel, really convenient and a good value place to stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The team working there were all very friendly and welcoming. If you want a plush hotel with brand new fixtures and fittings then you'll pay a lot more elsewhere. If you want clean, comfortable and friendly then you won't find better in Melton.

The place had been and could be a fantastic hotel, however it’s not a 3 star rated. Attention to details - poor maintenance - tired decor. Electric extension leads used. Door partly blocked by furniture. Rooms big, but noisy from traffic. Breakfast not included in rate. Site says APPROXIMATELY £9.50, inferring it might not be price paid or calculated - check and confirm when paying. Restaurant not open on Monday. Bar seems to shut early ( closed on return at 9.30pm) Breakfast was good, although for the price the Wetherspoon is a better bet. We did eat once and the Indian food was good. The hotel needs serious refurbishment and inves**ent. Although we wouldn’t return, it’s probably ideal for the businessman on a budget.

The hotel has been, and could be a fantastic hotel. It is a little tired and in need of some major inves**ent. I had two rooms and they were very large. However, the decor is very dated and some of the work completed is a bit of a ‘bodge’ job. Although breakfast is available, it is not within the room rate, you pay extra on arrival. The site says approx £9.50, inferring that it might not actually be the price. The restaurant is not open on Monday, which is an issue for anyone wanting breakfast. Although the breakfast was of good quality, you can get better at the Wetherspoon around the corner for the same price. In one room the TV did not work and the other had an extension lead to connect to services ( not best practice ) In the other room the door had to be fully opened due to furniture blocking the doorway. The bathroom in one room had residual orange brick dust after a repair may have been completed. The tap was loose on the basin. The shower in both rooms had such low pressure it neatly didn’t get you wet. Evidence of mould in the grout and on the bodged mastic. Electrical sockets wouldn’t switch off, dust on the window sills. Just little attention to details … If you have a front facing room you are met with road noise most of the day. From 5.30am the traffic is non-stop. The hotel bar was shut on our return to the hotel at 9.30pm. We eat there one evening and the Indian food was good quality. No issues with the huge car park at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is listed as 3 star and displays AA 3 star. It could be - but certainly not without serious inves**ent. We wouldn’t use again, but one night businessmen looking for cheap, no frills bed it is fine.
