아리스톤(Hotel Ariston)

After reading all the duff reviews we were in trepidation of our booking, made many weeks previously. We were so pleasantly surprised. Arriving at 3pm to a warm Italian welcome the hotel is very modern with quirky decor. Beautiful views across to the river Trento with the fantastic Italian Alps (?) as a magnificent backdrop. Pleasant 15min walk into the town centre which is also fabulous. The only drawback was the parking, but we were persistent and eventually lucky in procuring a space right outside the hotel with a sticker from reception for the windscreen. No breakfast so probably overpriced at €154 for one double room for 1 night, but definitely nothing to moan about.

Horrible hotel which is not as advertised. Room smelled like cigarettes, no elevator no restaurants, limited parking. area around the hotel is very sketchy. Felt like a pay-by-the-hour hotel, left after 10 minutes. Felt very unsafe with my family and left and they wouldn't refund me despite it being only 10 mins between checking in and deciding not to stay there.

A simple accommodation, but clean.

All good and to expectations

The water pressure is very bad, and the sink is too small. When attempting to wash the face the entire bathroom got wet. The AC doesn’t work and the room gets very humid

THEY STOLE OUR MONEY! THIS IS A SCAM HOTEL! DONT BOOK A ROOM! they do the trick as you arrive. we came to do check in by 21:00 pm and nobody was there. place was locked and check in is until 22:30! we called and send emails, nothing! then day after they say we didn't arrive to booking, and booking ask us to show a prove that we have been there on time (you should take a photo of you in the place at the time you arrive!) anyway they just stole us 250euros and they know we will not sue them because we are on a vacation and not local. BE AWARE!

If you have other options, I'd skip this one. Lots of complaints (such as actual glassware, like a wine glass, being "forbidden" in the room due to possible breakage. Really. In Italy wine glasses are not allowed? Haha. Also be sure to argue for the free parking stated in the description, otherwise they will not give out the free pass and will charge you. Basically, unless you get very lucky, there is not free parking, or even parking near the property. So, you have to demand the free parking pass, as they initially will tell you it is not available. We also witnessed 2 other guests arguing with desk staff about various issues, which should have been a red flag. On the plus side it was fairly cheap, but the rooms are super small for more then 1 person.
