셀리나 라 칸델라리아 보고타(Selina la Candelaria Bogota)

Really nice experience overall, for a hostel. The building is spacious, with nice decor and a tasty restaurant/bar. It’s a great location: fun & colorful neighborhood, in easy walking distance to lots of interesting sites and activities. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Our only complaint was that we we on the ground floor and there was a lot of noise from the floor above. That aside, we we would definitely stay here again.

A nice place to stay in the centre of candellaria. Beautifull building with a good restaurant and bar. A pool table adds a nice touch. Friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like was, the bed in our balkony room was very uncompfortable. But other than that, it was a great stay!

Selina is responsible for the destruction of my laundry (worth over €400) and will not help, resolve or offer a solution in any way or form. The manager will not reach out to us and does not want to speak to us while we repeatedly asked for contact. After finding out that my laundry was stained with unknown stains, even bleach, and has shrunk several sizes I went to the desk to find a solution. They would contact the laundry service and they would come to the hostel in the morning. After waiting more than an hour the next day nobody showed up. After much complaining to Selina, the boss of the laundry service finally showed up in the evening. Basically denying everything and repeating the same thing over and over again. We tried to resolve this issue for more than 1,5 hours. Selina did not help at all, telling us we needed to fix it with the laundry service boss (who was denying everything in front of them so they knew nothing was going to happen). This is unacceptable from one of the biggest hostels in the world and I would like to see a solution asap. It's not my responsibility to talk to the laundry service, I gave my laundry to Selina so they can find a solution with them. They are both responsible for this destruction. The receptionist just sat there. Did nothing but huff and puff. He was chatting with the manager so she knew what was going on, the laundry guy even asked the receptionist what the manager said. So we were just being ignored and treated as trash.

Noisy, loud music.( they give you earplugs )- they don’t cut the noise , and bass. This hotel hosts parties. I have nothing against music and fiesta- but not at my bed!! They gave us “the quit room at the back” - it is NOT quiet. Nice building, nice restaurant on the next block. Location- well… this area is not safe to walk after dark. I don’t recommend.

Great place. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Has activities several times a week which is cool. They had jazz and Colombian music a couple nights while I was there. The location is in the middle of it all. I enjoyed.

Very noisy, windows have no insulation. Hard to sleep with so much noise all night.

The building itself is lovely and in a good location in La Candelaria. The staff do not speak much English but then again, we are in Colombia. The hostel itself is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. Wifi was good and shower pressure excellent. The room was however loud and I moved to Selina Chapinero to for some more quiet.

Looks just like it did in the pictures. They play loud music which can get annoying at times. They usually stop before 11pm. Drinks are overpriced and food is okay. There is a breakfast place up the street to the right. You will need other options. Also they have heaters so request one. Overall 4/5

We booked a room with a private bathroom. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to use a shared bathroom. We immediately changed locations, but the property still charged us full price. The receipt clearly showed the room was booked with a private bathroom, but the guy at the desk said that recent rain had caused a shortage of rooms. He apologized, but still charged me full price.
