The customer service is fantastic! I especially applaud a woman who has amazing social skills. Her name is Martha H., and I want to give her the best shout-out of the century! Thank you for your time, everybody, and have the best day you can!!!

Myself and two sons was a visitor for 5 nights. The room was neat and clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area was always clean and well organized with many choices to choose from. Martha H. was always friendly and greeted us with a smile and a good morning.

I tried to find a spot on the Bonvoy App for a review, but could not make it work so I am here now. We were in town for Homecoming and appreciated due to booking FAR in advance we could use points for our stay here. This is our 5th or so time at this hotel and it is due for upgrades ASAP. The Springhill is WAY better than this location, but it was not available. First of all, in the lobby the coffee carafes were always empty or cold. That was our first impression as tired travelers. My husband did the check in, but we heard a guest interacting with the staff due to bugs in their room and that gave us the creeps! We did not have bugs, but we had a worn room. The hall carpets and paint need replaced, and well as many of the room furnishings. The toilet in our room was all cracked in the inside, the carpet was dirty and the couch was dirty and had torn spots. The items in the cabinets were sp**** (We had been at a Townplace the night before and the kitchen was well supplied). Time to update this property for all the guests to Bloomington with IU there. We stayed on points and can't complain about the cost, but rooms were listed for greater than $800 at one point and if I paid that would be VIVID.

All hotels in Bloomington are expensive for weekends during the school year - Towneplace is in the middle price wise, but well below any Marriott property I’ve stayed at as a platinum member. Halls will remind you of The Shining- dingy, old, neglected. One nice feature is that it is a 2 bedroom suite and each bedroom has a door. Bathrooms are old tub showers and very basic. There were 6 in our group and we had 3 rooms. The lobby & breakfast area is small - capacity? Maybe 10, breakfast is very limited and they have a small selection of awful looking frozen meals you can microwave if you are desperate. 2 of our 6 person group returned home with rashes and bites consistent with bed bug infestation. Separate rooms, different floors, same diagnosis. Gross - even by ‘guy standards’ which in our case were low, but you would think that $250/night might get you better than motel standards in a slum. The other properties near by looked like better options - well lit / less creepy.

Nice room. Quiet. All in all it was quite fine for my stay. The drain in the bathtub didn't work quite right. That's all.

Good hotel for the money. Convenient parking. Comfortable beds.

The room was just old and water was not hot, toilet was not secure and refrigerator was loud. For the price was not worth it.

It definitely needs a facelift. The room was clean enough but the hotel itself smelled and the carpets were dirty.
