르 치벌 블랑크 블레어(Logis Hotel Restaurant le Cheval Blanc)

My husband and i stayed here for several nights at the start of our trip to France. What a wonderful charming hotel. Our room was lovely and quiet facing the courtyard with many thoughtful touches. The bed was super comfortable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We also had an amazing dinner in the restaurant located in the hotel. This is a great location to base from to visit Chateaus such as Chenonceau as well as Amboise. Highly recommend!

Delightful little hotel with quirky features, excellent restaurant and the staff were good fun! The bonus was Bléré itself- lovely to sit in the square and enjoy a drink in the afternoon sunshine people watching and enjoying the spectacle of a French wedding.

Clean hotel,room was very small.fruendly and helpfull staff.

Ok lets be honest this was the WORST experience with a hotel manager ever. I should have known when the place we stayed the night before learned where we were headed to next and smiled thinly. We arrived at 5.15 to find a note on the glass outer door of the Hotel saying that they were off site for a few minutes and 2 numbers to call to reach them. We called both numbers repeatedly for the next 45 minutes, no response at either. As it became 6 pm we were desperate, would we get a bed?. It was a holiday in France. We called our previous hotel who said come back, they would find us a room. Last ditch I went over and shook the door one last time. Surprise, a young man unlocked the door. I was upset and angry, we now had 2 reservations. " Where were you and why didn't you answer the phone!!??"I said in an angry voice!!. The Hotel manager appeared from the back YELLING in French not to talk that way to his staff saying that "All you American tourists are the same, you think you can talk to everyone by yelling". " So what's your problem eh, we were in the back!! too bad for you eh that you had to wait!" I said in French.."NOT American! Canadian". "Paah"" he said "same thing". Upshot he tore up the reservation and we went back to our old hotel. They told us more horror stories about him, but that's someone else story not mine.

My friend and I had the good fortune to have Claire Guinoiseau from this lovely hotel as our guide at Chateau de Chenonceau during our recent visit to the Loire Valley. We are so happy we hired her! Claire’s knowledge and passion for the chateau’s history brought it alive for us and was so much better than showing up and self-touring. She was able to point out so many interesting details that would have been missed without her. Claire was very warm and friendly and had we had a longer stay in the valley we would have liked to hire her for more tours. I highly recommend her services if you are visiting the area! If you are staying at the hotel, do yourself a favor and inquire about her guide services. You will not be disappointed.

Decent enough hotel for the region. No a/c. Breakfast was very simple and minimal. Room was clean and quiet. Check-in was smooth and the front desk assisted in storing our bikes. Didn't eat at the restaurant as there were no vegetarian options.

My wife and I enjoyed our two-night stay in the Hotel Le Cheval. The room was rather spacious, clean, and quiet. The grotto-like garden is inviting, and we found the city of Blere attractive. It is not nearly so touristy as nearby Amboise. There is limited dining outside of the hotel and within easy walking distance, but we enjoyed a very good meal at the nearby Moroccan restaurant.

Stayed one night to break a long journey, following a recommendation from a relative. An absolutely charming French hotel and would highly recommend. We also had dinner in the restaurant, it was superb.

I have never been treated as well as I was by the gracious staff of Le Cheval Blanc. Everyone I spoke with was charming and helpful without a trace of pretension. They were all very professional and seemed so happy to be there. The room (Seine suite) was beautiful, every detail was perfect. The amenities in the room and bath were luxurious. The turn-down was thoughtful. The room was quiet even though the street outside can be busy at times.The only constructive criticism I have is that the pillows were a little strange. We ate at Le Tout Paris for breakfast and for dinner once. The room is charming and playful and the food was excellent. The view of the Eiffel Tower is breathtaking. We ate at Langosteria and it was so good, we canceled our reservation at another restaurant and returned the next night! The service was impeccable and personable. My husband and I loved this hotel so much that we are returning to Paris after Chris**as just to stay there again!
