호텔 에스플렌디드(Hotel Esplendid)

El hotel es muy grande, eso implica que hay mucha gente en temporada alta. Tema instalaciones, tiene 2 piscinas exteriores y una interior, a parte de mas servicios que no utilizamos. El desayuno buffet esta bastante bien. En general el hotel esta bien para hacer una escapada a blanes en verano

We had booked this hotel for just one night… thankfully.. Hotel Esplendid is like stepping back to the 1970’s it is so dated and desperate for modernisation quite sad as you can see how Grand it would of been back in its day… Pool area is scruffy the grounds are unkempt and the life guard did not look up from his phone once in the 4 hrs we sat there at one point there were children splashing in the top pool and not once did he get up wander over to check them.. Rooms incredibly basic and the balcony rickety and felt unsafe during our one night there was also the waft of ******** we realised it was coming out through the air con system.. corridors unlit it gave you the feel of staying in a rather unpleasant hostal Breakfast in the ‘ canteen’ I wont use the word restaurant here was chaotic and very basic lots of cold meats/ cheese after much deliberation I opted for the stale croissants n jam.. yum … Just to note also this hotel is dry no alcohol served which isn’t a big issue for us as plenty of bars outside hotel but just to be aware .. This is an honest review of the hotel probably ok for 1 night whilst passing through but certainly not a holiday hotel unless on a very tight budget and willing to take a ride back to the 70’s ….

Went Half Board. Food was terrible . breakfast was mostly cold meats tiny frackfrutr sauages that looked pale and were cold. the scrambled egg was freezing and unedible. No fresh juice just squash. For dinner had ti buy water or and drinks. Again food was not good so we ate out. Deserts were ok though nice selection. No do not diaturb signs on door so if cleaner came they would cone in after one knock..i was in bath once and asleep the other time. No remote for TV looked everywhere and then asked reception they said its 5 euro! Rooms are VERY basic no table just 2 beds and side cabinets no iron or hairdryer. Wifi is not free in rooms its 4 euro a day and still very slow. Would not go here again. Staff did not speak English well asked for latte at coffee bar but they did not understand struggled a lot with communication. Only a handful of Brits here. Locally only one brishish bar and could not find full Englush breakfast anywhere in area .Staff were nice though and place was clean.

If you want 5 star luxury I’m afraid you have to pay for it. We’ve just got back from a cheap week at the hotel Esplendid and can say it does what it says on the tin. Good bits. Air con worked fine, Pool area is nice, Location is great, it’s very clean the rooms are done daily and towels swapped every day if you ask, Breakfast was ok, you can hire a hairdryer for €5 for the week & a deposit for the tv remote is required. Not so Good bits. We had a pool facing room (which you want) but there is a night club across the road so if you can ask for a pool facing room, so you can sleep. A big one this for some people this hotel doesn’t serve Alcohol at all. They don’t mind you bringing your own in which we found the be a lot cheaper €1.20 for a large cold beer from the supermarket across the road. The pool bar food wasn’t very good. Overall it is what it is a little dated and in need of a bit of TLC but we had a good time they don’t have a lot of British guests mostly French and Spanish. But that was fine and the no booze rule keeps it quite at nights. Don’t be put off if your on a budget you’re going to enjoy it . Blanes is lovely if you want a mad holiday Lloret de Mar is 5 miles away .

If you are on a tight budget and plan to spend as little time as possible in the room (including sleeping) then this hotel is an ok choice. There is dim to no lighting in the hallways to the rooms, a basic doorknob with a key (no deadbolt or door chain lock), not great a/c, and the mattresses are thin and almost fold when you sit/lay on them. The views from the upper floors are great and the staff was very friendly and arranged for a cab to get to the train station. In-room wifi is not free (you have to go to the hotel bar to get complimentary wifi). This was not advertised on this site- though I recognize editing ********** profiles can be difficult. The vibe of this place seems to be toward a younger crowd (mostly teens) so keep that in mind.

Absolutely terrible hotel, outdated and all the facilities witch are (NONE) are terrible, food pretty same all days, no air con in the mains, rooms outdated, swimming pools outdated and not cleaned, kids play room,lifts,pool area, canteen,gym,indoor pool, lobby and no alcohol served in the hotel. Local shops and facilities pretty the same.
