I was part of a party of 40 arriving to stay for 7 nights at this hotel, however when we arrived I was informed that our entire party were going to have to stay at another hotel for two nights and then move back. Disappointing start and an inconvenience as the party were not there on holiday. Even more frustrating as the booking was confirmed and checked in advance. I was fortunate in that I didn't have to move as they had one room available. The rest of the party moved for two nights but then moved back. The Hotel Director was very accommodating but probably as the mix up was their fault. The hotel is well situated near to the beach and a short walk to a variety of restaurants. The Reception area is modern and I cannot fault the reception staff as they were friendly helpful and obliging. The bedrooms and main hotel area are really clean and there are safes inside the room however there in ends my positive comments For a hotel of this size with 10 floors the two antiquated and slow lifts are not ideal. Similarly the car park is very compact and can only support 5 or 6 cars tightly. The bedrooms are in desperate need of an update. There is only one plug socket which in the current technological era is insufficient for one person let alone 2. There are no fridges or kettles. I had to have cold showers for the first two mornings, then established I had to wait for the water to warm up but then the flow of water is poor if you're on the 10th floor and is more of a trickle. The air-conditioning is an old unit which you have to plug in but is too noisy to leave on overnight so has to be unplugged. The electricity in the room is powered by putting the key fob in a slot on the wall which is not a problem unless in the hours of darkness when you lose power to lock / unlock the door. The restaurant is in need of repair as a number of the chairs are dirty and broken with the padded seating sunken. You also need to clear your own plates away. Then there is the food......... the breakfast is a buffet style, is not too bad and you can usually find something to suit yourself. Our group were booked for bed and breakfast for the duration of the stay together with a number of other large groups. The food for the evening meal was again buffet style but despite their appearing to be a variety of options available which would usually suit most tastes the food which should be hot was cold and inedible. This resulted in a number of us having to go and eat out after a few evenings of trying to find something to eat. Disappointingly we had prearranged for breakfast to be served from 0700hours as the usual 0800 was too late for our competition timetable, however the restaurant was managed by a mature lady who has to be the rudest, most unhelpful and unprofessional person I have ever met. She clearly wasn't happy about having to open earlier to accommodate us which resulted in her being more rude than usual. For a couple of morning I had to order picnic bags to take wit
