치트반 정글 로지(Chitvan Jungle Lodge)

Stayed at this fantastic location as part of the Titan Wild India tour. The lodge was well equipped/ clean and well presented. The food was amazing and all the staff were excellent...friendly, welcoming and happy. Breakfast were packed by the kitchen staff and taken on the jeeps. They had thought of everything. The accommodation should receive a higher rating than 3.5. Everything was perfect. Thank you!

Had a lovely three nights here. My room was on the edge of the property, so very quiet and had a nice sitting area outside my door looking onto neighbouring land. Swimming pool was a good size and lovely to use after a dusty game drive. Staff were very friendly and food was great. Grounds were lovely and it has a lovely vegetable garden to wander around in. This was my second stay here, and standards are as good as nine years ago when I last visited.

We spent 3 nights here in order to visit Kanha reserve where we had 2 full days of safari. The accommodation was comfortable but what really made our stay was the staff who were great. The food was plentiful and there were lots of fresh vegetables. The packed breakfast for safari was always very good. Drinks were very reasonable. We had a great tiger experience on our last game drive and our driver worked hard to try and ensure we saw lots of wildlife. We had a problem with the air-con on our final night and we’re pleasantly surprised to be given the keys for another room should we need it as they thought they had sorted the problem but weren’t 100%. In the end it was fine though - just an example of a lodge committed to providing the best customer experience possible.

Great room, large clean and bright. We were at the end with a great walk just outside our room. Bedding and towels are spotlessly clean. Plenty of drinking water provided. Tea coffee facilities restocked. Clean pool with towels provided. Really close to the safari parks. Great staff, helpful and interested in our trips to the parks.

The theme of the resort was excellent : It was based on the bamboo forest theme that surrounded it. The food quality was also admirable. Games like table tennis, carrom, billiards, badminton acted like a cherry on the cake. We could also enjoy bonfires. There were two separate swimming pools for kids and adults. I don't regret choosing chitvan for my trip.

Wonderful place. Staff so friendly and helpful Food was too mild for my taste Tended to just offer chutney or tomato chilli sauce to spice it up a bit Room was lovely with view over paddy fields. Dry at the moment. As was the lake our room would look onto in wet season Lovely grounds. Veg plot - just use more spice in the cooking Swimming pool was fantastic Drinks reasonable Service was excellent and friendly. On the last meal we got spicier food after asking

The surroundings of this jungle lodge are absolutely amazing and the rooms are pretty good. What lets this place down is the quality of food and the attitude of the older staff. I have been on safaris in east Africa,south Africa,west Africa,Sri Lanka and India and I can 100% confirm that the quality of food in this place is the most disgusting I have ever had the misfortune to come across. It’s literally inedible. These places are not cheap to stay in so I was more than disappointed at the food quality. McDonald’s is better than this rubbish. It’s a real shame because the rest of this lodge is very good.

We stayed at Chitvan for 3 nights. The hotel is exceptional. The rooms are massive, super clean and with firm mattresses. Ours had a lovely view, a separate seating area, dressing room and huge outdoor balcony. The service is exceptional and employs the local villagers. The hotel ensures at all times you have everything you need, and more. We had complimentary breakfast boxes packed each day for our game drive, and even a goodie box packed full of food for our travels. I found the food on the mild side in the restaurant; that was quickly remedied with the chef treating me to special spicy dishes. The pool and gardens are lovely too. The game viewing at Kanha was fantastic and we had an awesome tiger viewing experience up close. We were fortunate to meet with Guide Baishakhu Singh Dhurwey and Driver of Jeep 207 who gave us the most memorable tiger viewing experience. It was our fifth game drive and Baishakhu is the most knowledgeable guide we experienced and will ensure you see tiger! If you book a private jeep safari be sure to book him. This was a not to be missed experience. We arrived mid afternoon after an absorbing 4.5hrs taxi transfer from Raipur and were greeted by members of staff who made every effort to make us welcome. What followed over the next two days was simply unbelieveable. Early morning safari through the Mukki Gate and into the Kanha National Park and we spotted our first tiger within a couple of hours. Chitvan had sorted the guide and the driver - all we had to do was get up at 5.45am! We had three more safaris and they were all fabulous with a variety of wildlife and more tigers. Accomodation in the cottages was excellent, given the location, with a huge bathroom, air-con and jungle views from the window. We slept like logs after long days in the fresh air. The food throughout our stay was superb with the staff attending to our every need and requirement. The place itself was a haven of serenity and peace and we could have spent another few days just relaxing around the grounds and the pool after the excotement of the two days of safari. Nothing was too much for the staff and management and we were treated like royalty throughout. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a tiger safari experience or just a few days of rest and relaxation.
