From the moment you arrive to drop your car at the secure parking the level of care and service starts. The staff are all amazingly trained. Little things like “ can you remind me of your room?” makes you feels like they already know you. Good is amazing, particularly the breakfasts. Only a small hotel but one of the best. Can only give positive feedback. Well done to all of the team at the hotel.

To say that Burgh Island excels at customer service is a serious understatement- the team are all responsible for creating magic and making dreams come true. From the moment you are met in the carpark, nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel like you are the most important person in the world. The hotel also exceeds all expectations. We have all seen pictures of its Art Deco elegance but the reality goes so far beyond merely period accurate decoration and furniture and quite literally casts you back in time to be part of the era many of us have read so much about. The food was delicious. The cocktails, perfect, the views from every room were breathtaking BUT it is the team that creates the real magic. Thank you for making our visit so very special. Crossing back to the mainland was quite a shock!!

A special place, in a special setting. The combination of sea tractor, beautiful cocktail bar, and conservatory area and patio area, lovely bedrooms, and stunning views make this a very special place to stay.

Poor and slow communications throughout the process of trying to book a table in the Nettlefold restaurant. We wanted to change to the pub and were basically told we couldn't do this or we would lose our deposit which was £120. The Nettlefold was basically empty on the night we dined there and all other diners were residents who were dining in the "smarter" restaurant. This meant that everyone was in black tie except for us so we felt very out of place. The service was fine but the food was very expensive (£80 a head set menu) with little choice and with the (cheapest) wine and a couple of cocktails the bill was just north of £600 for 4 people which felt very expensive. The duck that the two ladies ordered was inedible and were it not for the bread baskets we would have returned home famished. Basically a total rip off. If you are determined to visit Burgh Island either take a picnic or eat in the pub.

Staying at Burg Island has been a lifelong dream. The experience was wonderful and exceeded every expectation and more. Even though our stay was only short, you have provided incredible memories that will stay with us forever.

Wonderful setting, truly a singular experience from a sea tractor arrival, to optional black-tie dining with relaxed cocktail-bar with 1920s opulence in the 2020s.

My husband and I went to Burgh Island to celebrate a number of special occasions. We only stayed the one night, but it was so special. The staff couldn't have done more for us. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. We were really well looked after. The rooms are really cool and quirky with all the little extras - we stayed in the Amy Johnson suite. The food and drinks were delicious. Dinner in the ballroom was a real highlight. Our only wish was that we had another night there!

I would recommend a stay on Burgh island to anyone and hopefully will be back with my husband soon. The service was excellent
