Precioso hotel. Ubicación y buen trato. El desayuno es muy completo.

This was our first trip to Madrid and the northern cities of Spain so we wanted to take in some of the highlights of the region. Our son and daughter-in-law met us in Donastia San Sebastián and had the wise forethought to spend a night in the Basque countryside resort at this picturesque hotel nestled in the rolling, plush green valley approximately 30 minutes outside the bustling city. The moment we drove through the winding roads of the charming town leading to the inn’s entrance I knew we were in for a delightful treat. Despite a rather greeting from the gentleman at the front desk who checked us in, we were enthralled by the decor of the interior public rooms and each of our spacious guest rooms with breathtaking sights and sounds of the outdoors. Dinner was a most impressive Michelin menu, with palatable and delectable presentations. A small but sufficient and equally tasty breakfast was served the next morning to send us off with warm and wonderful memories of our stay.

We had been really looking forward to our stay and dining experience but were sadly disappointed. The hotel building and location are beautiful but sadly a lack of attention to detail which impacted considerably on our stay. The patio tables outside were dirty, unkempt and uncomfortable. There is no comfortable lounge seating in the public spaces and the bar area feels more like a doctors waiting room with basic chairs which are uncomfortable and completely incongruous with the building and style of the hotel. It would have been helpful to have known the menu of tasting menu to allow for appropriate wine selection and the lighting in this room is incredibly bright which spoils the a**osphere. The staff seem untrained and service was chaotic and confused. A few changes could make a big difference to the comfort and enjoyment of customer experience.

Great little hotel with lovely rooms and friendly helpful staff. Our room was spotless and comfortable with an enormous bed and a choice of pillows. Easy to find from the small village nearby thanks to the signage, and a nice location outside Tolosa. We enjoyed the food in the Bistro restaurant. The ‘Bailara’ restaurant was not open at the start of the week, but we were happy with the bistro. Breakfast was terrific and the staff lovely. Will definitely stay again.

Delightful couple of nights - the highlight of which was the tasting menu and wine flight. Beautiful setting.

Iriarte Jauregia is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. And we have stayed in a lot of wonderful and high end hotels over the years. Some of them have bigger facilities or more luxerious rooms, but overall it is difficult to put it in words how beautiful of a place it is. It is surrounded by the most idyllic scenery. The building has character and charm. The food is just superb! Michelin made their recommendation in 2021!

The hotel is located in a very beautiful small town in the mountains. It’s a five star hotel living an experience in the past. Everybody is very friendly and the food is excellent. Breakfast is stunning as you have the opportunity to eat fresh cheese just done by the Farmers in town . An experience just as the one seen on the movies.

We loved this hotel and particularly liked it being in a quiet area. We spent days visiting nearby towns along the coast, but we looked forward to returning to relax in the afternoons and evenings. One of our favorite activities was taking a hike right out the front door of the hotel. Their Instagram page gave us perfect trekking directions for the 6 mile hike we chose. Beautiful! The breakfast every morning was delicious as well.

We were visiting San Sebastián but so happy to find this gem of a hotel about 20 minutes outside. It was very easy to drive into San Sebastián from the hotel. The hotel is beautifully furnished and the staff are very helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel restaurant and had a wonderful meal couldn’t fault the food or service. Breakfast was fab - the fresh orange juice was the sweetest we have ever had. Did some driving around the local area and it is truly stunning. Would definitely visit again in a heartbeat.
