레 오 드 가자크 메종 도트 드 샤름(Les Hauts de Gageac Maison d'Hôtes de Charme)

We just finished four wonderful nights at this charming B&B, and it was the highlight of our honeymoon in France. Laurence and Frédéric are kind and attentive hosts who seem to have thought of everything. Our room was comfortable and beautiful, the breakfasts were fantastic (Laurence’s homemade jams are incredible!) and the location is perfect - close to many beautiful villages nearby, and La Roque-Gageac itself is close enough to walk with plenty of dining options. The grounds are meticulously kept and absolutely stunning. It rained for our entire stay so we didn’t get the chance to use the pool area, but it is beautiful. Merci beaucoup Laurence et Frédéric! We hope to return soon!

When we planned our visit to the Dordogne we took the decision to spend the whole 10 days at Les Hauts de Gageac and it couldn’t have been better. We had the best time with Frederic and Laurance who were warm and welcoming hosts, making our stay very comfortable. The facilities were of a very high standard and ideal for the perfect relaxing break and we were able to easily explore this amazing area then come back each afternoon to the absolute peace and quiet (except the birdsong) of our base and spend time around the pool which is set in a really beautiful garden, along with stunning views over the Dordogne Valley. Breakfast was equally special with all fresh ingredients. The property is a short pretty walk from numerous facilities and restaurants in La Roque-Gageac and the Dordogne river, so provided the perfect base. Lorsque nous avons planifié notre visite en Dordogne, nous avons pris la décision de passer les 10 jours entiers aux Hauts de Gageac et cela n'aurait pas pu être mieux. Nous avons passé le meilleur moment avec Frédéric et Laurance qui étaient des hôtes chaleureux et accueillants, rendant notre séjour très confortable. Les installations étaient d'un très haut niveau etidéales pour une pause détente parfaite et nous avons pu facilement explorer cette région étonnante, puis revenir chaque après-midi dans la paix et la tranquillité absolues (à l'exception du chant des oiseaux) de notre base et passer du temps autour de la piscine qui est située dans un très beau jardin, avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée de la Dordogne. Le petit déjeuner était tout aussi spécial avec tous les ingrédients frais. La propriété est à quelques pas de nombreux établissements et restaurants de La Roque-Gageac et de la rivière Dordogne, ce qui constitue le point de départ idéal.

What a wonderful place to stay! We splurged on the room with the hot tub -- so worth it! The view from the small terrace was spectacular and the room had everything we needed (and some things we didn't know we needed -- like USB port plugs!). Frederick and Laurence were very welcoming and had great dinner suggestions. The breakfasts were amazing -- breads, homemade cake and jams, fruit, yogurt, excellent coffee, etc. Like many worthwhile things, it's hard to reach though. We did not attempt to drive up the driveway, and parked in the space below. The climb is a bit steep but good for working off those vacation desserts. We will return.

We stayed for two nights and had two rooms for our family. Both of the rooms were very well equipped and suited our needs very well. The property and the grounds are very nice and beautiful with good view of the valley. We also enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tube. The hosts, Laurence and Frédéric, were very attentive and provided us with a nice breakfast. The pictures depict exactly what you will find on site. We highly recommend staying here if you can.

Our stay at this delightful B&B was one of the highlights of our 3-week trip to France. The hosts, Frédéric and Laurence, are charming and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable, including recommending restaurants for dinner, and even made a reservation for us so that we'd be set for the evening we arrived. The house, a century-old farmhouse which has been completely modernized, is situated with a picturesque view over the Dordogne valley. Breakfasts were delicious (3 kinds of homemade jam!) The one caveat (which is also noted on their website) is that the driveway up to the parking area by their front gate is a bit tricky and tight. Most of the time, we opted for the simpler solution of parking at the foot of the driveway and walking up. The morning we departed, Frédéric insisted on driving us down the driveway so we wouldn't have to wheel the luggage.

Charming B&B in the hills overlooking Dordogne Valley. Less than a mile walk into town for tourist activities or restaurants. The hosts were charming and bent over backwards to make us feel welcome.

All I can say is, WOW! This is a spectacular property, if somewhat remote - perched on hilltop. Laurence was a perfect host and patient with requests - including dinner reservations. The room, public areas, and grounds - are beautiful and look like they came out of Architectural Digest. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful bed & breakfast! You can walk down to have dinner on the Dordogne river through the beautiful village in less than 10 minutes. The hosts are lovely & very welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms tastefully decorated with attention to detail (phone chargers provided, nice toiletries, pool towels, tea station, etc...) Stunning views and a great pool area to cool down & relax at. We look forward to returning! :) Thank you Laurence & Frédéric!

We loved our stay with Laurence and Frederic. They are magnificent hosts and their house is very beautiful and welcoming. The most delicious breakfast every morning and the gorgeous pool to come home to! An oasis!
