Marcela is the owner of the place. She took care of us even before we got to Belize. She organized couple tours for us: Tikal and Xunantunich and referred to a good reliable taxi companies. The place is very secluded and well maintained. Grounds are so beautiful. Our only regret was that we didn’t have one full day to spend at the hotel. The a**osphere there was very relaxing. Marcela and Eva prepared breakfast and dinners for us - lots of very tasty food. Eva drove us to Belize City to our next destination and even stopped and waited for us to tour Belize Zoo. Very happy with our stay! Highly recommend. Such a warm and welcoming place.

The Green Valley Inn rates our highest recommendation on all counts. Marcella, the owner was the consummate hostess, insuring all aspects of our presence were optimally taken care of. We stayed in The Tree House, a marvel of architectural engineering and certainly an anomaly for any of our stays anywhere, with gorgeous views of the well manicured grounds while providing privacy. Eva, the chef and Sessi her assistant created wonderful meals which we greatly enjoyed in their dining area and interacting with fellow guests. Marcella happily and wisely arranged for our Caracol tour with Mario, one of the most knowledgeable guides we've been with. All said, our stay to experience the Cayo District and its many adventures from the comfort and sheer enjoyment of the Green Valley Inn could not have been better. Marcella and Eva were absolutely amazing during our stay. They recommended great tours (I’d recommend Mario to se Caracol to anyone who loves history!) and set things up for us so it was seamless. Dinners are not included but well worth the price! I loved having homemade meals while traveling. The grounds were kept very clean and so were the rooms. I would absolutely recommend The Green Valley Inn without hesitation!

We stayed here for 2 nights while traveling to western Belize to visit some of the Mayan sites in the area. Upon settling into the tree house we had rented, we quickly decided that we should have booked more time here. The grounds are just beautiful and very well kept.The tree house was comfortable and charming with plenty of privacy provided by the palms, mango, and other vegetation surrounding it. There is a well maintained pool with a covered barbeque area next to it, with hammocks and outdoor seating. The hostess Marcela is friendly, accomodating and a total gem. She is quick to share her knowledge of the area and works with local guides to provide tours and excursions for her guests. Meals are offered at very reasonable additional prices. The breakfasts were perfect with toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and more. Dinner was delicious and Marcela will do her best to provide for your requests. I can't say enough good things about this place. I wouldn't hesitate to book a stay here and you won't be disappointed either. Thank you so much Marcela.

Quite a relaxing and beautiful experience. Marcela takes care of your entire stay from excursions to all the meals. The fresh fruit, lime juice, and jungle experience were highlights of the entire trip. If you’re looking for a jungle experience with all the comforts, this is the best spot to stay!

We had a conference in Spanish Lookout and found this quaint jungle lodge nearby. Marcela was a warm inviting host and made my wife and I a homemade breakfast complete with quesadillas, cantaloupe, watermelon, coffee, homemade yogurt and the most amazing passion fruit juice. I’d recommend it. The 1/2 mile road going back to the lodge is a little bumpy but it’s worth the experience.

Beautiful place with the best host. Marcela and Eva were wonderful and ready to help with anything we might want to do. They know all the best local independent guides. Our cabin was very comfortable made from beautiful wood. The food was great - we stayed 3 nights and took all our evening meals there.

I’m always a bit sceptical of places with a 5-star rating but after staying here, I can absolutely see why. The grounds were beautiful with a lot of fruit trees and birds, and the cabin I stayed in was cute and clean. What really made the experience though was Marcella and Eva. They were so welcoming and helpful in their recommendations, and prepared the meals I ate there with care. For the first couple days I was there, I was their only guest, and I felt like I was part of the family. And once another group showed up, Marcella arranged things so I could easily join them for meals if I wanted to. I’d highly recommend staying here - I hope that I’ll get to go back one day!

The Green Valley Inn is a true gem. It's clean, safe, beautifully maintained. The true gems though are the owner Marcela and her right hand lady Eva who run the place. They make you feel so wonderfully at home and cook you the most yummy breakfasts and dinners every day! Marcela also arranges all tours for you and even transport if you want. I almost don't want to review them, because I don't want other people to discover this absolute gem of a place!
