Exceptionally good value hotel. Our room was clean and quiet situated at the back of the hotel. Iona was working alone and went out of her way to make sure we had all we needed. Breakfast was adequate for the price offering a few choices of continental type. We were attending a festival at Crystal Palace bowl which was only a short distance away so very convenient.

I booked a last minute stay at Beckenham Park Hotel for a work-related appointment, and was really happy with it. It's located on a quiet, tree-lined street and very discreet. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and I must say the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, responding to all my email queries and phone calls. Special thanks to Sherwin who managed my booking, as well as the rest of the lovely staff.

Made a big mistake thinking this was a normal hotel but it was just rooms. When we arrived we were shocked by the entrance and nearly left. Having said that the room was clean and comfortable but so overpriced. Wished we had booked premier inn instead.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On arrival, you ring the bell to get in and a disembodied voice activates the door and informs you that your key is on the windowsill. On gaining access, you see a couple of keys with a scrap of receipt with names and numbers. Finding your own, you look for your room. There is no human interaction. The room was small and basic. The shower room was clean, but the toilet lid was up and someone had taken a massive dark orange pee and not flushed. How could housekeeping possibly have missed this? There was no bedside table and no bedside light. The small tv, the kettle and a lamp on the desk by the window all shared one plug socket. The room was very cold. There was a radiator but it was off. There was also a small plug-in radiator that was on, but it was not up to the job. It was heavy but I manoeuvred it round so that it faced the bed. It was so cold that I kept my coat on. There was no information at all in the room (breakfast times, checkout, wi-fi etc) and no sign at all of any staff. After an 8 hour journey I did not feel like going on a search. I went to bed and it was so cold I slept in my clothes under the inadequate duvet with my coat on top. On the plus side there was plenty of tea and coffee provided (but not much milk). In the morning I just wanted to get out of the place, so did not stay for breakfast. Never again.

Parking is excellent, bed linen is clean. Dangerous lip to en-suite for those with mobility issues. Decor looking tired, had to forgo breakfast as access was in basement down steep stairs which I couldn’t manage. No other cars in car park - says it all.

Was here a year ago , booked in by company , couldn’t quite put my finger on what was wrong with the place , from last time I stayed, AGAIN wasn’t soon that long before I remembered NO HOT WATER & NO HEATING & if you opt for the BREAKFAST that too is DIABOLICAL WHEN SPEAKING TO THE MANAGER/OWNER , the RAT just laughing , same EXCUSE as last time whilst laughing at me , I don’t know what wrong with it I’m not ENGINEER YEAR AND A HALF LATER THE SANE PROBLEM EXISTS with THE SAME EXSCUSE
