What a super stay in this carefully restored hotel which is run by a very friendly husband and wife team. The other staff are also superb. Set in beautiful grounds with flowers and a beautiful terrace for breakfast al fresco. Pool is perfect with lots of places to relax and lots of loungers with pool towels provided. Room we had (18) was large with a comfy bed and pillows a magnificent shower and lots of plugs in all the right places. Ambience very French and decor thoughtful and beautiful throughout. They get that part 100% right plus the rooms from a practical nature are brilliant too. Located 5 mins from Beaune and so much more than a one night stop en route somewhere. Recent review said carpet not good idea. Trust me it was superb! Stay here if you can.

As other reviewers have commented, this hotel provides an extremely convenient and quiet stop from the motorway. The hotel building is charming and authentic as are the grounds, but other aspects are severely lacking. We first stayed in May 2022 and on this occasion the light immediately outside the room wasn’t working. We asked the owner if it could be fixed as it was impossible to unlock the door without resorting to the torch on our iPhones, but he just shrugged and declared it not possible because it was a Sunday(?). The second time, we stayed in a duplex suite. Upon arrival we tried to switch on the A/C which didn’t work, so asked the owner if it could be fixed. He explained that we could either have heating or A/C, as it wasn’t possible to have both working at the same time. We confirmed that we would like the A/C as the bed was in the eaves and it was very stuffy. He told us not to worry and that it would be sorted. Of course it was no surprise to us to find that he hadn’t fixed it, and after the light incident the previous year, it just didn’t seem worth the hassle to ask again. To compound the issue, the skylight would open, but then not close again properly. This property has potential, but is poorly maintained with an owner who doesn’t seem to care about his guests’ needs The decor is tired and breakfast is adequate, but not great for the €18 per head. We won’t return.

Charming hotel, even more remarkable when you see what the building looked like in 2002. Very close to the autoroute. This hotel offers bed and breakfast, although the fact that you must pay for breakfast is NOT CLEAR when you book with *********** where it is NOT included in the room rate. Breakfast is 18 euros per head for basically a cold buffet. Obviously this happens a lot because the charming receptionist mentioned it straight away. The restaurant next door was closed when we visited so the nearest alternative was 4km away (excellent by the way). I would stay here again but I would not choose the suite - the bed and shower room is up a steep staircase and the toilet is on the ground floor (though this was explained at check-in). Very comfortable bed and good shower.

Amazing location .. very relaxing and peaceful The garden is so beautiful and well maintained The check in was very nice and friendly by a professional gentleman. We absolutely loved the duplex, very charming and cozy. Do not miss this hotel …. A GEM❤️

Hotel is very nice with a plunge pool staff are very polite and helpful grounds of hotel are well kept not much outside of hotel restaurant next to hotel is very nice but you have to book would stay again for a stopover room was very comfortable and light

We have driven to the South of France for over 50 years, and most years have done the journey in one go (overnight when we were younger). In recent years we have tried various stopping places and stayed in hotels both in Troyes and Beaune, both being a suitable distance south to break the journey satisfactorily, but have not found anywhere with which we were particularly enamoured. This year we tried the Hotel le Clos, and we believe that this might now be a regularly stopping point. One of the advantages is that it is in a small village outside Beaune and look over fields at the back despite being only five minutes from the motorway junction. After a day on the road, this was very therapeutic… Our room was huge, had a bath and was generally very well appointed, and we felt it was very good value. The owners could not be more welcoming, and helpful, and the breakfast superb. We were back on the road feeling not only refreshed but absolutely knowing we were in France. As others have noted, there is no restaurant but we had booked at the restaurant next door (less than 50 yards away), but there is a bar in the hotel so one can have a drink before dinner on the garden terrace.

Easily accessible from motorway, very friendly staff, delightful gardens and building. The swimming pool is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of crémant after a quiet cycle around vineyards and Beaune. Safe car park to leave e bikes on back of your car. Restaurant in the village is fantastic and a very short walk. Breakfast on the terrace was the perfect way to start a morning. We could have stayed a week!
