Disney's Riviera Resort

The hotel is beautiful, done in soft blues, yellows and cream. It is clean and of course the staff all have the Disney warmth, knowledge and superb customer service. There are two lovely pools, wonderful places to eat and drink and a small bakery/coffee shop and a small store all in residence. The location is great also. You can easily walk to the Skyliner and get to Epcot or Hollywood very easily. Also, while my husband and I are a senior couple, we saw a wide age range of people staying at this resort and all were happy. There are some activities in the green area for all ages as well as a splash zone for the younger set. We will definitely stay again.

This is our second stay here . We've been on a studio, one bedroom and two bedroom. The resort is not at highly themed as say animal kingdom lodge or the yacht club but subtle. You know you are at WDW by the art work and Mickey waffles without it being overdone. I am a DVC owner and these are by far the best rooms on property. Large , beautiful and immaculate at all levels. Topolino is the best character breakfast on property. Delicious!!!! I have not had the same reviews for dinner. A tad bland and not as GF accommodating as other WDW dining. The pool is gorgeous and a tad calmer than other resorts. Bar Riva is the best pool bar in property . Food is great and drink menu is extensive. Bloody Mary's a 5 star on its own! My only gripes : 1) the resort needs a themed bar / lounge other than Topolino which is so crowded . Convert the travelers lounge to an actual space like Bell Vue at the Boardwalk. 2) nothing is open past 10 pm it got boring after returning from the parks. 3) the resort needs a mid level table service like a grand Floridian cafe because there's many guests and small seating / dining options.

I really researched our resort stay of may 2023. We paid for a 1 bedroom Villa and one deluxe studio room. Our biggest problem was that we explicitly told house keeping we are declining services. I was told if there was any issue with declining services a manager would contact me since apparently they require a visual inspection of every room every single day, even if you say no or decline. I was not told this, they just said a manager would contact you if there’s a problem and we will not be entering your room. I sanitize everything upon arrival including the floor, and didn’t want someone dragging their dirty shoes through my room after being in multiple guest rooms with possibly kids were coughing, sick, etc. while my daughter plays on the floor of our room. I put the sign “room occupied” and didn’t think much about it- until day 4. Our adjacent party in the deluxe studio got a knock on the door needing to come in and the go through the lock off into our room to see our room. I wondered why when I told them not to come in. I went downstairs and lo and behold they had been coming in everyday sneaking in through the lock off room. It was their policy. Management didn’t help much, and in fact made things worse by dismissing my issues and said every Disney property requires this and that I can not refuse. Whoever informed me was wrong. But that’s not my fault! That’s YOUR training and leadership for the misinformation. No compensation, no apologies. Just that “Disney reserves the right to enter every room without notice or consent” & they do regardless of the room occupied sign. Very off putting consider the amount of cash I spent on this trip. Pool: scratchy & sharp pool floor. My daughter kneeled in their zero entry pool and it cut up her knee pretty badly and bled. I Had first aid with me but it is pretty sharp. I don’t get why they would have that as a pool floor. Pool never got too busy. Splash pad was nice. Seemed decently clean but lots of bird poop on the lounge chairs .. Food: Disney is great about allergies and for that alone I have given the resort 3 stars. Food is pretty good, nothing to rave about but it isn’t bad. Topolino’s is over rated. Characters come quickly. Servers don’t really return to see if you need anything. It wasn’t even busy when we went. Server also wasn’t friendly or warm. Very dismissive actually. When being seated we were asked where we are from, how’s our stay etc. When we left we heard others asking the exact same questions in the exact same order. Probably a script for small talk and fake-personalization, but A for effort I guess. Room: our Villa was large and spacious, beautiful. Deluxe studio was smaller than expected. Basically a regular room but just with a small kitchenette. The chair legs and bed frames stick out which causes us to knock our knees and shins often and even trip over the chair legs. My mom even got a foot tear. Maybe it’s for stability, but it is definitely a tripping and fall hazard.

Amazing time at Riviera, as usual. Our 2 BR Villa was beautiful & extremely clean. The dining choices at the resort are perfect. Topolinos is hands down the best dining on property. The pool was refreshing & not too crowded. John took care of us poolside & kept the refreshments & snacks coming. I appreciated his great service. The transportation was quick & easy. The Skyliner is so much fun. The Riviera is one of our absolute favorites!

This was my first visit to the Riviera Resort and it was impressive. My daughter and her family had a one bedroom Villa and I had a connecting Deluxe Studio with preferred view. The outside of the building was not as remarkable as other Disney resorts/hotels; but once you enter, the lobby makes an impression. Polished floors and carpet, as a deluxe should be. My room was immaculate. Fit and finish was first rate. A minor disappoint was a nick in ceiling paint (small) as you first enter and the sofa had a slightly visible stain, as if water or clear liquid had spilled on it. For a deluxe resort I think the resort staff would have replaced the pillow and touched up the ceiling. Having been to WDW many times and visited all levels of resorts, I expect more from Disney. I did notify front desk and they were ready to schedule maintenance during my stay; but, I told them not an issue that I was letting them so they could take care of it before next guess. I know things happen; but I expect distractors to be taken care of before a new guest arrives. Wood floors very shinny, as if they were coated with polyurethane. Having stayed at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian I expect the same level of comfort. The Riviera was just a bit off. Their towels are not as 'fluffy' as G.F. or Poly. They felt like they were washed in hard water. The Toilet paper was at the level of Art of Animation. I bring this up, as my wife and daughter had complaints on previous trips and my daughter now orders softer paper from delivery service. The Grand Floridian, by contrast, must use ultra-soft Charmin. We checked this trip in public restroom, and yep they are still using the soft stuff. LOL. Several years ago the staff gave me several rolls for the females when I joked with front desk the difference between the GF and Art of Animation toilet paper, where we were staying at the time. I've stayed at the GF several times since, due to the staff. Back to the Riviera, other than those issue the room is fantastic, I've added a picture of the 'preferred view' I had. Housekeeping replaced towels each day, washed the glass I left in sink each morning. I think the sheets were changed every other day; however, the bed was tightly made very day. They must clean each day, as I never noticed dust or any lint or anything on the floor. Water ring on table (Ok I'm not that good) cleaned off every day. Was very pleased with housekeeping. Disney characters appear in the courtyard, by, the pool, each afternoon. They take time with every kid that shows up, even those of us with a few decades on the body. Many decades. I feel I age in reverse very Disney visit. Cast members are superb everywhere at WDW. Every Staff, opps, cast member I encountered at the Riviera were courteous, friendly, and helpful and always asked if everything was alright. They showed a genuine concerned for my needs. This was our families third time staying here over the last couple of years and the property is unmatched. Been coming to Disney for 40 years since I was a baby and there is no better option, affordability being the sole drawback. Location is great to be able to get a Hollywood and Epcot, buses are smooth to the other parks, and the resort is super quiet, considering how many rooms there are. Pool is great and super safe for young kiddos, food is all top notch, and Toppolino Las is a crowd pleaser we go to a couple of nights each trip. To soften the blow on the price, I recommend doing Instacart for delivery for food, drinks, and snacks. We always have breakfast in the Villa and then snacks in the afternoon when we come back from the parks and then happy hour with those great views… Definitely helps.

Love the pools and the resort location loved that it was on the Disney Skyliner close to Epcot and all other resorts I like that you could get over to the Bord Walk easy it was great The food was delicious for breakfast every morning. Loved being able to look out at night time to see the firework show at Topolino’s Tower.

It's still the newest deluxe level resort hotel in Disney World. It's design and décor seems to be inspired by trips that Walt Disney took to the French Riviera, and maybe the Amalfi Coast. I think my favorite decorative feature has to be the mosaic murals that arch up to 20 feet in the tunnel that leads you to the Skyliner station. These murals consist of over a million tiny tiles that were all laid by hand. It's absolutely amazing to see them up close. A lot of work went into creating this tunnel art. There are also 2 waterfall features between the arches that provide relaxing sounds as you're walking to the station. The reception to the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. Disney World (as a whole) is known for its service & hospitality. We had already checked in through the My Disney Experience app, so there was no need to approach the receptionist. Your room number will show up on the app when your room is ready. Just use your Magicband to open the door. They will hold your luggage for you if desired. We arrived before 7:00 am so that we could start our first adventure in requesting Lightning Lanes and Virtual Queues. All the discombobulation and concerns around understanding and using Genie, Genie Plus, and the Magicband became a distant memory. In hindsight, I wish we would have grabbed some coffee from Le Petit Café before heading out to the Skyliner that would take us to EPCOT. This has to be the best perk about staying at Disney's Riviera Resort. The station is a short walk away, and it takes you to EPCOT and/or Disney's Hollywood Studio. I can confirm that it's great for early entry to EPCOT. It takes you straight to the France Pavillion for early entry onto Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. The rope drop for that pavillion opens at 8:15 am. I'm not going to get into everything that the resort offers to guests. You can get that information anywhere. I will say that our Deluxe Studio Room was very roomy and clean. It's more of a family friendly room since it accommodates 5 people. There's a Jack & Jill bathroom with a dividing door. One side has the shower stall & toilet. The other half has a bathtub with a shower head and sink. It's overkill for just 2 people. They do have Tower Studios, but I've read that they are too small. You might as well pay a little more for the deluxe. The Florida resident resort discount compensated for that. It also has a small kitchenette (no oven), and 2 pull down beds. A single bed under the TV station, and a queen pull down bed over the couch. It was unused space for us, but I totally understand the need to accommodate a larger family. I'd rather have a true queen, or a king size bed. Our bed felt more like a double than a queen, which is fine. It was still comfortable. I also appreciated the space under the bed. It can be used to store luggage so that it's out of the way. I thought the best feature of the room was the rain shower head. It was very relaxing after a long day in the sun. I can't say much a

This hotel is the perfect combination of elegance and Disney fun. Impeccable service, beautiful rooms, and subtle Disney theming everywhere. We loved the outside lawn area to play games and the walkability to the skyliner as well as the food hall at Caribbean Beach and when we wanted other food options - though the food here is delicious.
