First let me say that my family of 6 have traveled to the Melia resort multiple times and enjoyed the grounds and hospitality every time. We've been to the Caribe, the Level, and most recently the Wellness. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The food delicious and plentiful. And the hotel staff are fantastic...very caring and friendly. The beautiful atmosphere, food, and the staff are the reasons that we will return. This was the first vacation where we left very upset because of our experience. During this vacation my family and I encountered constant pressure, while resting on the beach, from multiple Melia staff whose job is to recruit vacationers to listen to the Melia Membership sales pitch. We said no many many times until one of their sales recruiters, Emmanuel Desamour, told us that we would receive vouchers for 3 free rooms to use on our next trip, if they could have 1 hour of our time. I emphasized that we did not want to spend more than an hour. He mentioned that he understood and that he just wanted us to listen and for taking time to listen, we would get 3 free rooms "just for listening." We agreed and went the next day on 12/13/2023. We were taken off the Melia property and were not returned until 4 1/2 hours later. This was 3 1/2 hours longer than they told us. And worst of all we never received the 3 room vouchers. Very dishonest part of the company.

I loved how everyone was so attentive, how there were always activities going on and the staff tried to get you involved I loved the room service and how they cleaned everyday and kept everything looking nice. The property looks clean and feels very safe you could leave your things anywhere and no one would take anything. The beach was beautiful but the only problem was the people asking to buy things all the time when you were just trying to relax. One guy put an iguana on my boyfriend without asking and then he was trying to charge us for it. But overall a beautiful experience I will come back one day! Keep up the good work!

I love the Dominican Republic, this is my 9th time in this country and I really love this hotel, this is my 4th time in it and I am sure that I will return many more times. Large area, lots of space to walk! very sociable and smiling staff at the reception and at the bar, but at lunch and dinner they are a little slow and not always attentive, but this does not spoil the overall impression of the hotel! and the fact that I’m on vacation and have nowhere to rush is normal! I was delighted with the massage! the wellness area is very cool! Definitely will come back to Melia ❤️

Property was emaculate, simply gorgeous. Staff were always accomodating and special props to our concierge Jose who went above and beyond making our stay special. Highly recommend this resort

I did not like my room location facing the family resort. We heard teenages yelling all night.

Excellent resort! Don’t miss the free activities and it is worth to pay for your massages if you want to feel like new! Drink the local Mama Juana for relaxation and minor colds! All staff was very friendly! Excellent landscaping maintained beautifully by many gardeners! The beach side was well cared and. The water warm and blue turquoise. If you want to feel like you like quiet time or party time, you find them all in this place.

This resort was absolutely fantastic! We were escorted from the second we landed until we left. Staff was all pleasant and helpful. Food was great! Only complaint is that one of the restaurants on the beach took over an hour to cook our dinner and one of their appetizers didn’t agree with my stomach. Everything else was amazing! And on our very last day here, a cockroach was in the shower. Understand it’s tropical and these bugs are everywhere but did not love seeing that. Very clean and organized. Housekeeping comes 2x a day. Stock the minibar in the room daily. Room service anytime. Great drinks and even better bartenders! Everyone was happy all the time. Very relaxing and pleasant experience.

We liked the beach, the tranquility, the security, the food and the night activities We didn't like the hotel's nursing service, we went at night for an antibiotic and the doctor was charging us US$300 for the consultation, the medicine cost us US$10 at a pharmacy.
