Le Clos de la Barre

Fabienne & Bruno were the most excellent hosts. The attention was superb and the rooms comfortable and clean. They served a simple but excellent breakfast. The additional games room was an unexpected bonus. We chose the smallest rooms, however I would encourage guests to stretch their budget a little and select one of the bigger rooms which were superb. This is a perfect base for exploring the Normandy towns and beaches especially if you are also interested in the D-Day landings etc.

Very comfortable room (La Cherubins), friendly and helpful hosts and nice garden for sitting out. Radar museum on the edge of the village worth a visit. We ate at the Bon Vivants restaurant in nearby Douvres-la-Deliverande – was full on Tuesday night so good idea to book ahead. Do read tripadvisor reviews. There is no choice other than whether to have 4 or 6 courses, but everything was delicious. Also ate at Le Quai Est in nearby Courseulles-sur-mer on recommendation of hosts – very good too

We could only stay one night one the way from Calaise to Brittany, but what a find. The room was large with a big comfy bed. The bed our son had was not as comfy but was a pull out bed so to be expected. Lovely mist shower, and very quiet area. The breakfast was spectacular too. Then there are the hosts, Fabienne and Bruno. They are absolutely lovely. Nothing is too much trouble, they have a very gentle humour and went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. The hotel is a little out of the way, and if you want a quiet retreat it is perfect. If you want lots of shops and night life... Better off elsewhere. Overall a big 10/10. We will be back.

Des hôtes incroyablement gentils, un hébergement très agréable et cosi, un petit déjeuner extrêmement généreux. Tout est fait avec le cœur et ça se ressent bcp. L’établissement est très propre, il y’a un plein de petites attention qui nous font nous sentir bien. Le contact est excellent et très agréable. Un grand MERCI Pour ce merveilleux moment passer chez vous et bravo

Trouvé sur *********** par mon épouse qui cherchait un hôtel près des plages du Débarquement, ce charmant B&B a surpassé nos attentes...la chambre est spacieuse et superbement arrangée...Fabienne et Bruno sont des hôtes dont la gentillesse n'a d'égale que l'attention du détail...de l'accueil au délicieux petit déjeuner fait maison....Nous reviendrons si l'occasion se présente avec grand plaisir !!

Excellente adresse. Nous avons passé 3 nuits avec des amis ( 4 chambres) pour la période du réveillon du 31/12 . Les chambres sont très joliment décorées, très propres. Le petit déjeuner est copieux avec des confitures maison, des madeleines ou gaufres maison…. Mais surtout un Accueil parfait des Hôtes , Merci à eux de nous avoir reçu . On reviendra !
