I visited this establishment with high expectations due to its reputation, but my experience was quite disappointing. The manager, in particular, displayed behavior that I find unacceptable in any commercial setting. From the beginning, she seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns and was rather curt in her responses, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. Its really hard to get to the beach, the lodge is far from the beach and the transfer is only once daily. We had a manager that was very engaged on making our stay the worse posible. Customer service is a crucial part of any business, and I believe that a bit more empathy and courtesy would make a significant difference. I hope management consider investing in training to improve their approach to customers, as I currently feel unmotivated to return to the establishment or recommend it to others. To be fair, the only welcoming staff were Jardel and Francisco they were really heartwarming and simpathetic. Anyhow, the instalation might seem fair in the pictures but is only in the pictures. The sheets were Not clean enough, the room had a terrible smell, the air conditioning didnt work and we had to spend the entire stay on a “sauna”. Anyway, never stay on Velho Bateau if you consider your well being important.
