호텔 라 팔마 로만티카(Hotel la Palma Romantica)

This hotel is hilarious - think Fawlty Towers with added charm. It’s old fashioned and woefully understaffed, but the few staff that do work there are delightful and apologetic. Dinner is chaotic - get there at 6.30pm if you actually want to eat and make your life easier by booking to have the set menu - everything else takes hours. When we were there it was solely occupied by walkers like us, so people were eating and having an early night. The room itself was vast and clean and the beds were comfy. Perhaps three stars is a bit mean - maybe an extra one for quirkiness.

We stayed for 3 nights when on a walking trip to the island, booked for us by our travel company. Our bags were waiting in reception when we arrived, after booking in the receptionist gave us a tour of the facilities, we had to order our evening meal when we arrived at the restaurant, no offer was made to help with our luggage, there are no lifts. Our room was down several flights of stairs, and although it was clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water, it seemed dark, lacking natural light. The public areas had an tired, musty feel, the stair carpet was faded and worn, the whole place was in need of talc. We had to wait an hour for our starter, a mixed salad ordered several hours before, the waiting staff were very apologetic, all we could hear from the kitchen was shouting. The following morning the owner rudely and quite aggressively told us we hadn’t waited an hour, only 30 minutes, he didn’t even bother with good morning. He proceeded to blame the staff for not taking the order to the kitchen quickly enough and not turning up, we found his approach very unprofessional. The incident soured our stay and we were rarely acknowledged. We found the restaurant staff very attentive, helpful and friendly but won’t be returning.

Cada vez peor. Personal sin ninguna experiencia en hostelería que te hacen esperar una eternidad para ser atendido de una forma mediocre. Es una auténtica pena, ya que es un hotel que conozco desde hace más de 20 años y que fue un verdadero ícono en la isla de La Palma. Actualmente solamente vienen algunos extranjeros que se arrepienten una vez que han probado tan triste experiencia.

El hotel está en un enclave natural excepcional. Sin duda está es una de sus mayores fortalezas. Así mismo el atendimiento del personal es muy adecuado. Lo he puntuado como Normal por las siguientes razones. Sus instalaciones necesitan una renovación, actualización y modernización. Me dio la sensación que las pobres camareras de piso eran pocas y tenían una carga de trabajo excesiva. Por su parte el bar restaurante, tenía una carta corta y algo subida de precio, pero asequible. En fin. El hotel se encuentra en un enclave que vale la pena, pero necesita una inversión.

Bien pour une étape mais pas plus! Petit déjeuner très basique. Literie très moyenne a ressort. Pour les équipements Une piscine extérieure a 15 degres Piscine intérieure 18 et le jacuzzi A 22... Donc bof.. Le pire!! Le dîner !! Arrivée à 20h15 servis a 22h!! Même pas un verre d'eau ni un bout de pain pour nous faire patienter ! Même pas 1centimes sur l'addition !!!

El personal es muy amable y la limpieza también está bien, pero el desayuno es igual todos los días y muy pobre en cantidad y variedad. Me decepcionó mucho. Pone que tiene gimnasio y, yo que iba con idea de hacer uso de él, no pude. Está obsoleto total. Mejor que lo quiten de la página y lo cierren. Es una pena porque el hotel está en un entorno maravilloso y súper tranquilo.

Sólo puedo opinar sobre el restaurante. Tienen una carta bastante normal. Pedimos una sola de marisco, que sin estar mala, era bastante normal y muy aguada. Luego un pescado que poco o nada tenía que ver con los que se comen en la costa. Aparecimos allí buscando lugar donde comer. La relación calidad, precio no es buena. Respecto al hotel tiene una pinta estupenda y el lugar es un paraíso para relaj**** y olvid**** por completo del mundo.

Habitación amplia, servicio atento, Las dos recepcionistas asturianas y hermanas súper amables y nos hicieron muchas recomendaciones interesantes. La piscina por la tarde a partir de las 18:00 cuando baja el sol una delicia Tiene Un jacuzzi y una piscina interior que funciona de 11-19. Por poner alguna pega, los baños deberían necesitan una remodelación porque son claramente de cuando se construyó, si no en todo el hotel, en nuestra habitación, Y en mi opinión deberían cambiar al cociner@ porque el solomillo estaba muy pasado y el oescado excesivamente hecho, Una pena! Tienen un menú, no pregunté el precio, que has de reservar antes de las 14:00. Una lástima. Parking gratis y fácil acceso en la carretera hacia las mimbreras. Desde el hotel se pueden hacer excursiones por el norte de la isla. Santa Cruz queda a una hora por una carretera buena pero con curvas

Très bel hôtel, bien situé pour rayonner dans la région. Belles prestations hôtelière, bar et restaurant. Très bon vin à la carte pour accompagner de bons plats. Dommage que le spa n'était pas ouvert.
