Giri Carik

Een prettig verblijf gehad bij Giri Carik. Het personeel is vriendelijk, het zwembad (voor Balinese begrippen) goed onderhouden en de villa's zijn netjes. De badkamer in villa is enigsinds verouderd en deels buiten. Het was erg warm in de Villa (geen airco). Het ontbijt was smakelijk, maar wel erg simpel (geen grote hoeveelheid). Echter is hier door de kosten van de Villa niets om over te klagen. Het personeel dacht ook erg fijn mee en was zelfs bereid onze was weg te brengen en op te halen, dit wat wij erg waardeerde!

Great to be welcomed back to Giri Carik after some years. This small boutique hotel is set in a tropical garden, with a beautiful pool and spotlessly clen rooms. Staff are very friendly and guests are made to feel right at home. Breakfast in the restaurant with views to Mt. Agung is really something!

My family loved staying at Giri Carik. We stayed in two rooms (out of only five rooms) for three nights in early January and absolutely loved it. What a hidden gem! It was quiet with an absolutely spectacular view from our villa and especially from the eating area (restaurant). The view of Mount Agung in the morning is simply breathtaking. The friendly staff treated us like royalty. The pool was lovely. The food was delicious and cheap with big portions (why go anywhere else?). And the price? Unbelievably cheap. We paid about $25 AUD per night with breakfast included. The expensive resorts down the road have nothing on this place. If you want something quiet and comfortable at a very affordable price, look no further. We have travelled all over the globe and were amazed at the value at Giri Carik. Highly recommended.

An excellent small Homestay with just five little cottages, in house warung and the friendliest staff around. Komang, Ayu and her team helped me with a trekking guide who was local and great fun (as well as knowledgeable and helpful), scooter hire and a driver to my next destination. Rooms are clean and offer stunning views to Mt Agung. Location is perfect with lots of nearby dining choices. Giri Carik also has the best coffee shop in town. I can’t wait to return!

Amazing place in calm and rural Sidemen. I felt welcome right away. The staff is so friendly, warm and helpful and will do anything to meet your needs. The bungalow itself was really nice and clean with beautiful view to the garden. Breakfast menu was yummy and the on-site warung is really good value. Great coffee! As a solo-traveller this was the perfect first place to stay in Bali after a long flight. I will definitly stay here again if ever back in Sidemen! Pssst, do yourself a favor and get at least one massage from the local therapist while you are there. Promise you won’t regret it! Just ask at the reception

Giri Carik is our home away from home whenever we travel to Bali . This was our 4th or 5th stay since 2014 and the service , hospitality and friendliness of this beautiful Balinese family owned and run place keeps getting better and better ! The new swimming pool , restaurant with amazing views , cool breeze , traditional Balinese Villas and the most helpful and friendly staff made our visit and stay totally hassle free and so relaxing . They organised airport transfers , boat bookings to Gili islands , transfer to boat harbour in Padang Bai , daily massages in our room through local therapist and all our travel and needs . There are only 5 rooms so it is better to book early or might miss out . It amazes me how quickly I start appreciating nature and enjoy the beautiful greenery , nocturnal sounds of insects and geckos etc around here …….the city living person that I am . Do not hesitate to ask or mention any concerns or questions during your stay , as the staff will go out of their way to promptly address it and offer a good solution or advise as we have discovered during our stays here . I see I reviewed Giri Carik in 2018, when I said how much I loved it. Coming back since has been pretty much impossible, thanks to Covid-19, but I have now returned and I'm delighted to say it is just as good. Giri Carik is owned and run by a lovely family and they take care of you (and the setting) wonderfully. Others have mentioned the stunning views, the welcome pool and the nicely spaced individual rooms, of which there are five. I would add to the list the very good food, served in the rooftop restaurant or, if you want, to your room. Sidemen is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of places like Ubud and Seminyak and a chance to connect with the Balinese countryside. I strongly recommend you visit for a few days if you can and if you do, I strongly recommend the lovely welcome and comfortable stay you'll receive at Giri Carik.

9 ans après nous sommes revenus voir Febri notre hôtesse. Bien évidemment Sidemen a bien changé mais ce lieu est toujours magique et le personnel familial toujours à nos petits soins Nous avons profité pleinement de notre bungalow avec vue sur la belle piscine à débordement dans un jardin arboré et joliment fleuri. Le nouveau café-restau « 9:00 am » offre non seulement le meilleur cappucino du coin, mais aussi une excellente cuisine indonésienne qui plus est avec une vue imprenable sur le mont Agung. On bénéficie de bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter ou réserver plein d’activités. Merci à Febri, Ayu et à toute l’équipe💕 pour la petite fête d’anniversaire surprise pour Christiane. Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine. A très bientôt.

Petit cocon très sympathique au pied du Mont Agung qu'on aperçoit lorsqu'il fait beau. Chambre très cosy (même si un peu humides) et personnel accueillant. Petite piscine très mignonne. Petit déjeuner excellent, le meilleur jus d'ananas du séjour ! Je recommande ce petit coin lors d'un séjour à Sidemen
