그리야 발루드(Griya Valud)

It was lovely checking into this place after staying in a few more 'rustic' places on my trip to Bali. The rooms are lovely, really modern while still having a traditional feel, which I did not expect in this part of Bali. The pool area is small but beautiful, adequate for the small number of guests the property provides for. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and always happy to help. I had a massage, which I really needed after climbing Mt Batur a few days prior. It just seemed ok - I've had a lot of massages in Bali. They only offer one massage product and have no spa menu, which is fine but just something to be aware of. Not sure why this happened - it's actually a bit funny. I was having a bath in my room and the mirror steamed up due to the heat from the bath and the words 'Have a nice bath" appeared on it. I was momentarily terrified, thinking there was some kind of passive aggressive ghost in the room, until I realised the staff must have done it thinking it was cute or welcoming - instead of being just completely creepy. The only real complaint (and its not even that much of a complaint) is about the food. I'd been in Indonesia for a while, and pretty tired of Nasi Goreng and ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu which arrived smothered in chili sauce. They seem to put chili sauce on everything here. I like spicy food, but not for every meal. I had the chicken and rice for breakfast one day and asked if that came smothered in chili sauce, to which they replied, it did and I managed to ask them not to add chili sauce and then it was ok. I tried a few of their western dishes - all were terrible. My advice to the hotel is don't offer western food if you can't do it properly. Their Indonesian food was amazing (tried both).

We loved this place; beautifully decorated with a large pond and pool. Stayed in one of the two hillside villas which had a nice view and was very comfortable. Staff was lovely and the lunch and dinner we had were some of the best food we had in Bali!

We were in marble room. This is a small and beautifully maintained property with 4 rooms and a restaurant. Our room was middle sized good for couples but for a family it would be a little tight. I visited along with my husband and our toddler daughter, had comfortable stay for 2 nights. Food is delicious and the cost is reasonable. Swimming pool is good. Only thing is not much option for vegetarians as this is common in all over bali.

Very disappointed with unprofessionalism of the staff at Griya Valud Sidemen. Already tried so many times contacting them through social media but no reply. Called them to their land line and their social media, no body picked up. After trying a week then they reply and confirm my booking. They have asked 50% deposit in advance to secure the booking which I already sent but 1 week prior to my arrival they said that they received another booking from OTA that I need to move to other room unless I pay in full. They even mentioned that it is already hotel regulation while none of this regulation is stated in confirmation letter. Very unprofessional and would worry about my trip there if I continue this, therefore decided to cancel my booking overall.

Chambre avec baignoire ce qui est très rare. Literie de bonne qualité. Nous avons eu 2 lits séparés mais spacieux. Piscine très agréable entourée d'une belle végétation. La situation permet de visiter de magnifiques rizières.

Een waar paradijs op aarde. Erg persoonlijk, goede vibes, zeeer vriendelijke staf, mooie villa’s top verzorgd niet voor niets was dit ons 3e maal dat wij hier terugkwamen. De tuin is een werkelijke aanrader wat een zorgvuldige aanplant met planten waar wij jalours op kunnen zijn. Sinds 3 jaar ook een zwembad die de rust door zijn ligging niet verstoord.

Toutes les photos que le site de cet hôtel montre sont complètement obsolètes !!!Ne pas rêver il n'y a rien de tout cela !et en plus c'est sale!!! Nous avions réservé pour 8 jours.....avons fui au bout d'une nuit !!!! Obligation de payer la semaine complète sinon c'est la police !!!! Le rêve s'arrête là !!! Comment peut t'on sponsoriser un hôtel comme ça !!!! A fuir !!!
