We had a pleasant 6 days at Sahil Inn Hotel. The hotel is centrally located on Bulbul Avenue, just next to the Sahil Metro station. The entrance to the hotel is between two cafes and can easily be missed. Fountains Square, the Old City (Double Gates) and the seaside boulevard are about a 7 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are cafes, restaurants, a bank and a supermarket all less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel, making this a great location for a short stay in Baku. The check-in process was simple. They had our booking information and the room was ready when we arrived at around 3pm. The hotel does not currently accept credit card payments on site, but this may change in the future. In the meantime, ensure you carry sufficient cash if you have chosen the 'pay at hotel' option during the booking process. The rooms are a reasonable size and well maintained. Ideal for tourists who plan to spend the day exploring the city/country and just need a good, comfortable bed for the night and a clean bathroom for a shower. The amenities are basic but we didn't need anything more than what was provided/available. Wi-Fi was available in the room as well. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, prepared by two lovely ladies. It was served, to your table, between 8.30am and 10.30am in the dining area. Fresh fruit and vegetables, French toast, eggs, luncheon meat, bread, locally made jam, cheese and tea - can't really ask for anymore to start your day. The service provided was personal and we felt very welcome. Dilara, the hotel manager, was a great help and provided plenty of information for tours that can be booked through her. There is a nice 'homely' feeling at this no frills hotel. The hotel address online and the location pin on Google Maps is incorrect and needs to be rectified. If you are using Bolt or Uber to travel from the airport, select Ocaq Kafe (great little Turkish cafe just next to the hotel) as the location. All in all, a pleasant stay at a good hotel, in a great location. Excellent value for money!
