로만틱 호텔 사크만(Genusshotel Sackmann)

I will try, as always, to be as objective as possible. We booked the hotel early 2024 and were surprised to find so much availability left, having stayed there I now understand why. We knew the hotel only from a quick lunch in 2023 whilst cycling along the Tour de Murg cycling path (which is very nice by the way). At the time, the food was great but service very slow. Things have not changed ever since. I will try to give the pro's and con's of the hotel and the restaurant herebelow: Pro's: - Part of the hotel is renovated and quite frankly the rooms and restaurant as well as the bar, pool and spa area are very nice; - Ample parking with EV charging possibilities; - Breakfast is of a very high quality; - Staff in general is nice and do their best (more later); - Area around the hotel is very nice, the railroad behind the hotel did not bother us at all (there are not many trains); - excellent choice of drinks in the bar and restaurant; - Staff at the reception were nice; - very nice cheeses also available and included in the dinner option (which we took); - allowed to stay later and have lunch on our last day as we did not have it on our first day of arrival. Con's: - No airconditioning in the rooms (it gets very hot) nor in the restaurant (gets unbearably hot); - Waiting times in the restaurant and the bar are ridiculous, we waited over 45 minutes for our first course to arrive. I had to wait 10 minutes for an extra chair as they did not cater for 11 but 10. When we were finished plates were not taken away but got stacked on the table; - The price of a bottle of water: 7 EUR; - No advice as to wines to be ordered, staff does not know how to serve wine, general disorganisation; - Certain staff at the bar were really not very nice to customers; - Staff in general do not speal German and/or English too well, asked for help with luggage but got misunderstood and had to do it all by myself. Whilst leaving, no enquiries as to whether we were satisfied or not; - They kept on mixing the rooms of the rest of my family and myself which lead to chaos as regards massages, skin care sessions, etc; - If you have a room in the front part of the building, then you will have a lot of noise from the road in front; - E-bike rentals were not in good shape; - No chance to change a set menu - on saturday, there was a (nice) candlelight dinner, but there was no way we could change a plate we did not like and no choice before either. So we paid for stuff that we did not eat; - My sister in law is vegetarian and allergic, we had to repeat this at every meal. Also, there were no substitutions but just a plate less the stuff she was allergic to, seemed a bit unfair; - Matrasses are very hard, we did not sleep very well because of this; - At breakfast and lunch, food ran out and was not re-filled. All-in-all we were quite disappointed with the hotel. It is a pity as there is great potential, but for the price we paid (over 1000 EUR per night for 2 adults and 3 teena

Enroute between Strasbourg and Stuttgart, we stayed one night after an enjoyable hike earlier in the day, near Baiersbronn. I wasn't aware of the facilities, but availed myself of the pool on a beautifully warm October afternoon. So relaxing to take a dip and then enjoy the sun sinking in the sky on the rooftop deck, with drink in hand. One of the guests I spoke with said that he returned to stay for many reasons, but emphasized how good the food was. ...and the food was excellent! The soups were superb. Starters, entrees and dessert were, likewise, exceptional. Wines were reasonable. Decor was most pleasant. Pacing and service were spot on. (Breakfast was ample with many excellent choices). Room (older section of hotel), while not luxurious, was spacious, comfortable and perfectly fine . What a wonderful spot! One of the nicest hotels in our 2 week journey.

This was the 3rd time we stayed in the Sackmann hotel and it was fantastic: very modern room with a great view, superb food, very friendly personnel and also excellent facilities. We really enjoyed the sauna’s! We already look forward to comeback next year.

Food was good and the pools and wellness areas were nice. But the service was disappointing at best and the rooms, even in the renovated parts, were shabby and had no toiletries except for soap. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel (that charges as if it’s a 5 star establishment)

A wonderful hotel – great service and fantastic food! Comfortable newly appointed room with calming views of the river and forests. The heated rooftop pool offers unparalleled views over the countryside, come sunshine or snow. The Schwarzwald is a beautiful region which offers much for a family, and Hotel Sackmann is the perfect base for a holiday of fine food and cultural sightseeing.

Great relaxing place, spa area cannot recommend more. Dinner Super requisite. Only quality to really critique is the junior staff and the low quality coffee (it was lavazza, but somehow terrible). Hotel room not the best, but we did take the cheapest room (could do with an upgrade). But I guess, if you stay here, you’re paying for the extra. Definitely recommend a visit and we will probably be coming back again!

Ich habe das Hotel Sackmann als Geschenk für meine Partnerin gebucht, und wir waren begeistert. Das Hotel bietet eine perfekte Kombination aus Entspannung und erstklassiger Sterneküche, weshalb wir 5 von 5 Sternen vergeben. Von Beginn an fühlten wir uns willkommen. Das modern eingerichtete Zimmer hatte einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Natur. Der Wellnessbereich mit seinen Saunen, dem Schwimmbad und den entspannenden Massagen ließ keine Wünsche offen. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Sterneküche: Jedes Abendessen war ein kulinarisches Meisterwerk mit sehr gutem Service. Auch die Lage des Hotels war ideal für uns, da direkt vor der Tür viele wunderschöne Wanderwege starten. Die Natur rund um das Hotel lud zu ausgedehnten Spaziergängen und Wanderungen ein, was unseren Aufenthalt zusätzlich bereichert hat. Zusammengefasst: Das Sackmann ist der ideale Ort für eine erholsame Auszeit mit luxuriöser Gastronomie und wunderschöner Natur. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Das Hotel Sackmann ist ein kulinarisches Paradies. Wer vom Frühstück bis zum abendlichen Gourmetmenü kulinarisch verwöhnt werden möchte ist in diesem Hotel gut bedient, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Wir feierten unseren 30. Hochzeitstag und wurden bei einem achtgängigen Gourmettraum von einer sehr kompetenten Mitarbeiterin und vom Chef persönlich betreut. Aber auch die Umgebung ist perfekt für die Entspannung geeignet. Wanderungen im Schwarzwald in der wunderschönen Natur sind sehr erholend. Am Nachmittag als Erholung im Sky-SPA, oder in der Panoramasauna, danach auf Liegen in der Sonne liegen, bei einem Cocktail, der mit Melonen im Sky-SPA serviert wird. Die neuen Design-Zimmer sind sehr zu empfehlen, besonders die Junior-Suite Murgperle, die einen großen Balkon und eine wunderbare Lage hat, mit Sicht nach Süden und nach Osten. Was will man mehr als Gast?

Wir kommen schon seit vielen Jahren ins traditionsreiche Hotel Sackmann; seit der Renovierung und Erweiterung in 2020 sind wir aber restlos begeistert vom Wohlfühlfaktor, den das Hotel bietet. Das Hotel ist familiengeführt und das spürt man auch. Familie Sackmann und die Mitarbeiter geben einem immer das Gefühl herzlich Willkommen zu sein. Egal, ob Rezeption, Bar, die Restaurants oder der SPA-Bereich. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sind bemüht, den Gästen ihre Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Zimmer bieten eine breite Palette. Es gibt noch die Zimmer im alten Trakt, die im Schwarzwaldstill gehalten sind; im neuen Teil des Hauses gibt es Zimmer und Suiten, die modern und elegant eingerichtet, aber trotzdem sehr gemütlich sind. Insofern findet jeder sicher das Zimmer seiner Wahl. Die Küche ist hervorragend! Morgens reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Eierspeisen, Weißwürsten, Suppe, schwarzwaldtypische S*****en und Wurst, selbstgemachte Marmeladen, Salate, unterschiedliche Brotsorten, Brötchen, Croissants, Laugengebäck, Quark, Joghurt, Säfte und Sekt. Mittags steht eine kleines, aber völlig ausreichendes Buffet zur Auswahl bereit. Abends wird ein 6-Gang-Wahlmenü, teils serviert, teils vom Buffet angeboten. Highlight ist natürlich ein Besuch im Restaurant Schlossberg. Bei unseren Aufenthalten genießen wir immer einen Abend die Sterneküche - sehr zu empfehlen. Der SPA-Bereich ist zweigeteilt, im Untergeschoß das Burgfels-SPA (Hallenbad, Whirlpool, 2 Saunen, 2 Dampfbäder) und auf der Dachterrasse das Murgtal-Sky-SPA mit großer Panorama-Sauna und Infinity-Pool. Nachmittags finden 2 x Aufgüsse in der Sauna statt. Auch der Ruheraum ist sehr gemütlich. Anwendungen können selbstverständlich auch gebucht werden. Vom Hotel aus kann man zu unterschiedlich langen Wanderungen starten. Gerne kehren wir dann auch in Sackmann's Panoramahütte ein, die nur ca. 1,2 km vom Hotel entfernt ist. Das Hotel Sackmann bietet auch immer wieder schöne Events während des Aufenthaltes an; Musikalische Darbietungen, Weinproben, Gin-Verkostungen etc. Wir können einen Aufenthalt im Hotel Sackmann wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
