르 뷰 로지(Le Vieux Logis)

Le Vieux Logis is a gem that is nestled within the charming little town of Tremolat. We found it to be a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Dordogne region and a place that we were very happy to come back to each day to enjoy the grounds and town. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and would help us map out our daily itinerary, with great suggestions on what to do and see. We had an amazing gastronomic dinner that was served in the lovely outdoor garden. We stayed in a suite which was excellent. We loved our stay here and if/when we return to this part of France, will definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel with an even better restaurant. Set in an old priory, the hotel has a sense of history about it. We are given a room across the street and it had comfortable bed and nice sitting area. The shower was good and the room met our needs for a one-night stay.

We enjoyed the garden before a most excellent dining experience in the restaurant. The room was well appointed and the staff thought of every detail. We received the gift of a small bottle of local wine as a welcome gift.

Our first time here but not for Relais and Chateaux properties. The hotel is in a lovely small town in Dordogne and is a charming farm-like property. The staff was welcoming and we enjoyed sitting in the garden for a drink upon our arrival. We had a room that was not in the main building (actually a two room suite.) over looking the large lawn. Room was a little shabby as well as furnishings. Bathroom could use a good update and room could use a fresh coat of paint with some more interesting antique furnishings. Not quite the level of the normal Relais and Chateau property. The location is charming and the front desk personnel are very helpful. Dinner at their casual restaurant was dissapointing. I would recommend this hotel with some reservations. It is a charming farm house property in a lovely small town that could use some updating.

and a welcome that reminds you of an old friend...it was such a pleasure to return to this venerable property after some years....it is exactly what you would hope for and expect in this lovely part of France. A stately unimposing mansion that provides exactly what you need....serenity, nourishment for the soul and lovely surroundings. The terrace is the perfect place for a glass of wine, just to soak up the ambiance and reflect on your day ....our room was slightly old fashion but exactly as i would expect...comfortable , roomy, accessable, clean...the mattress was definitely firm, and lighting wasn't the best but all that fades away and you simply enjoy where you are. Beautiful lounges and outdoor seating areas, food offered in the Bistro works perfectly, and dinner in the dining room is done with elegance and attention. Breakfast was also enjoyed, lots of choices...a favorite lunch was at Chez Julien in the small village of Paunat , several kilometers away...beautiful memory , delicious food.... thank you everyone at le Vieux Logis for giving us such a special time ...

Very welcoming and very comfortable. It was a pleasure to return to the Vieux Logis this time with family. The place has a timeless feel and everything works very efficiently in a friendly way. The food is excellent, fine dining in the hotel restaurant and relaxed bistro food in the place. The pool and the gardens are immaculately maintained.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved our stay. Our room was beautiful, up a short flight of steps. The staff is fantastic and kind and helpful. Breakfasts were ok, the selections plentiful but somehow the service for the buffet was a bit stiff…no one smiled! The pool area was lovely, and the pool although not heated was refreshing for the hot days. Be prepared however as there were many wasps around the pool, I do wish that issue had not existed!

We had a meal in the restaurant last year but decided that this time we would stay in the hotel. It didn’t disappoint. It was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and the food was excellent just as it was last year. It was a pleasure to stay in the hotel and the staff were wonderful. They couldn’t have been more helpful. We’re looking forward to repeating it all again next year!

Lovely relaxing hotel with fantastic service. We had a large room with a garden looking out onto the lawn in front of the hotel. The vine covered walls created a sense of privacy and retreat. The reception staff was helpful. All amenities were available. The restaurants were truly inspiring. We had a great two night stay on our Backroads bike tour.
