We stopped here in the afternoon and had a couple of glasses of champagne and a light afternoon apetiser. It is an incredibly beautiful place with very welcoming staff. Also delicious extra dry champagne, so we purchased a bottle to do. A really wonderful afternoon.

A very charming small hotel which is part of the Collery Champagne estate. The team taking care of the hotel is amazing - very enthusiastic, passionate and always available to help, they made our stay in Ay very special.

Of our 30 days touring France, Les Chambres du Champagne Collery was perhaps the most corporate which was very much appreciated with its attention to presentation and detail. The hotel is part of the House of Champagne Collery and thus it is more sophisticated, i.e., it is not run by "Ma & Pa." The staff was engaging and professional. We were not part of a large group and, as a couple, we were promptly addressed and shown to our lovely room. Throughout, staff was attentive and helpful, e.g., recommending the small Champagne tasting establishment in "downtown" Ay (10" walk) and local restaurants. The property is beautiful with its large front lawn and overlooking same is a covered and uncovered terrace to relax and to enjoy Champagne Collery. The room and bathroom were modern and very well appointed. The bed, comfortable. The second floor view over the front lawn, peaceful and enjoyed the song birds through open windows. The breakfast was outstanding with hot and cold selections set-out on the sideboard. More than ample to start the day. The table is set for all guests and invites meeting fellow travelers, e.g., from Australia who kindly offered The Ghan and The Indian Pacific insights. Epernay is a reasonable drive. However, having done Epernay and the Champagne houses now twice, definitely to consider making Ay, with its Champagne houses, and Les Chambres du Champagne Collery, with its pleasantness, a relaxing destination worthy of more than two nights. Highly recommend!

We had an exceptional stay at Les Chambres de Champagne Collery. From our initial booking exchange the team at Champagne Collery were very attentive to all our needs and exceeded our expectations. Always helpful and friendly even assisting us to source a bike rental in Reims. The rooms are clean and a good size with lovely welcome sweets and bottled water. The breakfast offers a wide assortment and was very good. I would stay here again, it is in a charming town centrally located and close to Epernay and many Champagne estates for tastings.

wir hatten im letzten Jahr diese Unterkunft gesehen und dieses Jahr gebucht - es war nur noch das "Pfortnerhäuschen" frei und das war perfekt. Zum Frühstück konnte man dann in die Lounge gehen und sich nach Herzenslust am kleinen Buffet bedienen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett - wir hatten das Glück sogar ein Champagnertasting nur für uns zwei zu buchen. Wir können jedem einen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus empfehlen.

Een klein hotel in het dorp Ay, zeer dicht tegen Epernay aan. De wijngaarden liggen direct achter het dorp, op 2 minuten fietsen. Erg mooi om te wandelen of te fietsen op de steile hellingen. Daar heb je heel mooi uitzicht op het gehele gebied. Een aantal proeverijen in het dorp mogelijk. Het hotel biedt proeverijen aan van eigen champagne Collery. Het hotel is bijzonder mooi in aangelegde grote tuin. De kamers zijn super mooi ingericht, mooie badkamer en alles wat je van een heel goed hotel mag verwachten. Een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Op het terras kan je s' middags bij de tasting ook hapjes (tapas) bestellen. Erg vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel, super aardig en professioneel. Beter in zo'n hotel verblijven en iets meer betalen en jezelf te verwennen, dan voor het mindere kiezen. Rob, Loes, Monica en Paul

Het is een imposante aankomst bij Champagne Collery in Ay. Bij aankomst moet je wel rekening houden met een aankomst voor 20 uur. We hadden wat vertraging door een drukke spits en gelukkig wilde ze 15 minuten wachten op onze check-in. Vervolgens nog even in de lounge gezeten die wat kil en ongezellig aanvoelt. Prima meubelair maar vooral slecht verlicht. De kamer was prima maar voor de prijs hadden we er meer van verwacht. De bedden zijn smal en aan de harde kant. De badkamer is ruim maar mist het comfort van een inloopdouche (je staat in bad met de kraan tussen je benen) en een afgesloten toilet. Het ontbijt is voldoende. Op de zondag was het stokbrood reeds taai en oud en koffie mag je zelf maken in een dolce gusto. Helaas, geen cappucino. Het grootste minpunt was dat er (per abuis) geen housekeeping was geweest en er ook geen personeel aanwezig was om dit op te lossen. We hebben twee diverse nummers gebeld maar ook nu niemand bereikbaar. Uiteindelijk de handdoeken van de grond geraapt en deze in de avond en de volgende ochtend nog maar weer eens gebruikt. Deze plek mist wat mij betreft de service en aandacht die je verwacht in een chateau voor deze prijs. We ontvingen de volgende dag excuses maar wij zullen hier geen volgende keer meer doorbrengen.
